Any American buyers here? Anyone do the Best Buy smartphone trade in for $200? I'm wondering which cheapie phone I can buy from them to trade in.

People on slickdeals claim to use some cheapie Verizon prepaid phone on the front page atm, it's an LG. if that's true I would wager any phone , which sounds crazy. I could be misunderstanding!

£550 S6 edge plus 64GB on clove.co.uk

£624 for 128GB

Thats very reasonable. If I could trade my S6 edge for the edge plus I would.

I could sell my S6 edge for £325 so would only need to pay £220 odd for the plus. Not alot for tech geeks like myself. Dunno wouldn't do it for a few months though if i did it. Doubt I will but tempting.

If I was to have spare to the 6S plus I rather it be a fellow big phone
At those prices I would have bought the 128GB outright lol but I think I'll have to pass on Samsung this time around.

I feel the same way about the appearance and feel. It's a beautiful phone, but in the hand I don't think it feels that great. But the screen and camera are so nice!

It feels awesome in hand IMO, better than the Note 5. It is a bit slippery, but nothing a matte full body skin won't fix. I am so freain amazed at how tiny and svelte it looks next to my iPhone 6 plus, which looks downright clunky next to it. I think I'm going to preorder it tonight and test it out, if it has the typical crappy Samsung QC/hardware I'll go back to my iPhone, but I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

Ah I meant the lg cheapie phone was on the front page $15

Check out this deal:

LG Optimus Exceed 2 No-Contract Smartphone for Verizon Wireless $15 + Free Store Pickup $15 - https://slickdeals.net/coupons/best...&utm_medium=share&utm_campaign=external+share

Some comments in the thread about using it for trade ins, extra funny because it's sold by best buy, may be to good to be true

I like the slightly rounded edges on the back of the Note better for feel. Nothing compares to the edge for appearance though. I want to hear battery comparisons between the edge+ and the next iPhone 6+ before I decide. I want a big screen with good battery life for my next phone.

This year they got smart, you can't use a non contract phone so that's a no go.

The Note 5 still feels blocky to me, but I think I've just been spoiled by the iPhone and also seeing the edge plus and holding them both. I have a feeling the edge plus won't be anywhere close to the iPhone battery life, I have no idea how it gets such good battery life. I can have Waze navigation on going to work and 20 minutes later it still says 100%. Still, Samsung hasn't let me down either and I'm sure they have some nice optimizations for the Edge plus.

I think I've got the update to the new E+ Touchwiz. It's downloading now to my unbranded handset.

Will keep you posted.

Yes this supposedly will be the new Touchwiz with the new icons and the people & apps edge - as well as camera improvements ...

Its like getting an Edge + for free.

Still installing will post screenshots and impressions once installed :)

Hope I'm not disappointed and turns out to be just a maintenance release ... The anticipation ......

Feck ....... It is just a maintenance update. FFS !!!

So, I'm switching to T-Mobile and will be picking this bad boy up on Sunday with Jump! On Demand. Superb hardware, I'll be tweaking the software to my liking.

I just picked up an iPhone 4 for $50 to use for the $200 promo at best buy, sigh am I crazy? I was just so impressed with the hardware, and the speed of things like opening the camera. Double click the home button and the camera app opens instantly, and I mean instantly, I'm not used to that on a Samsung phone.

Hoping they aren't out of stock tonight, but I kind of doubt they will be. As impressed with the phone as I am, I still feel it will sell poorly.

Yeah our buying habits are certainly not indicative of general public and yes you are a little crazy. Anyone who spends time here obsessing on hardware and gadgets has to be ;) but your in good company.

Are you buying outright?

I seriously considered doing it as well with an old iPhone 3GS until I read AppleRobert's comment that you can't buy the phone outright unactivated and get the $200 gc. :(

Yes. I know there is some question about this. On the Best Buy official forums they have officially said outright buying was ok for the promo, but I know some stores are saying no. If I get a no I'll ask them for the corporate number and call in front of them to get it going. Otherwise oh well, they don't get a sale.
