Hey all. Found out yesterday that B&H is selling the International variant of the S7 Edge.

I was thinking of buying the INTL version from someone on eBay but started thinking maybe B&H is a better way to so since they also offer the 1 year warranty through them.

Has anyone had any experience buying unlocked or INTL versions from B&H before? Never bought a phone from B&H... Wanted to ask around and see what experiences people have had.

Thank you!

I read this entire thread. Just pointing out that there are others who are having the same experience with the camera to the reviewer in the video you posted. I thought that since you posted the video, then you agreed with him. Silly me for thinking that way.

There is something I like to mention with nightshoots on auto mode. Sometimes the half moon nightmode icon would pop-up. Don't know if it make a difference for the better or worst. Can't seem to disable it on auto, but on Pro mode taking the iso off auto seems to keep the nightmode off.

Also, I get better night time shots with HDR off.

I gotta experiment with it some more to see what's better.

Being that said, I didn't have that noise/grainy issue with or without the half moon nightmode icon, but I did notice when the icon appears, some of the street lighting would glare/streak across. Something I didn't like.

i am really flattered that you seek out my thoughts and opinions like this. It really is nice to be appreciated that in that regard.
So to answer your question....no and well....no
[doublepost=1459176430][/doublepost]
yep even though it might use more system resources than some other browsers, it does the job i need it to quite well.
I like Firefox too but haven't used it in a while.

So let me ask you one more time, what are the negatives of the S7e according to you. If you do not want to give us your opinion as a user, then just say so and I will not ask you about it. You have owned this phone the longest in this forum, so it would be nice to know the pros and cons from your perspective. Again, I understand if you do not want to give those opinions, but clearly indicate that to me.

Again I am flattered that you hold my opinions in such high regard! It is humbling to know in this internet forum that you would seek out my thoughts and opinions over everyone else's like this. I am flattered! But I have answered your questions. Do you have a reading comprehension problem?

Please point me to where you gave me a list of pros and cons on the S7e. Thanks.

see so there you have it.

Still no Gear VR shipment notification yet. I did order my S7E a bit later than you guys though.

I'm really looking forward to trying virtual reality. I'm not expecting anything crazy, but I am excited to take the first steps, especially since it was free.

So you refuse to give a pro and con breakdown on a device that you have owned for a while. Good to know.

You don't need a pro/con list to understand how someone feels about a device. Does DetroitBorg or MKBHD give a simple chart and end at that? Probably not. Tons of opinions in the topic. I wish we could just sticky "review" types of posts for folks like yourself so you can get a sense of where people stand.

He said he read the whole thread........so he has all the info he needs. He just wants ME to give list for some reason.
It's like a little control game he is playing.

nope.....your wrong.....i have given pros and cons. I just don;t want to give them to you and play your little game. If as you say, you read the whole thread , then you have all the information you need with first hand feedback from people that own the phone. But now you are just playing a silly little game.

I read the thread and I have the pros and cons from epicrayban and MRU. I am just asking you because you are a prodigious poster and user of phones. There is no game or conspiracy afoot. I just wanted your pros and cons for the phone. Others have done so, but you have not. That is why I asked. If you do not want to list it, then that is fine. I will rely on the opinions of others.

I just received my gear VR but can't seem to find where to download the Oculus app. Can anyone assist me?

edit: never mind, figured it out.

Has anybody with a 6s or 6s + sold it on after having the s7 edge for sometime? I have a few days remaining on a return date for a 6s plus I have and can't decide on what to do at this moment. Thanks

I'm keeping mine too. But if your the type of person that only wants to have one phone, unless you need apple services (FaceTime, iCloud, iMessage, AirPlay, ect.) or speedy updates, then I think the edge would be better because of how much more compact it is while having the same size display. Battery is slightly lower as well as 3rd party app support, but the screen, performance, camera, and design is either the same or slightly better. Plus you get water proofing, multi window, wireless charging, and more customization.

Either way both are great, get what fits you better.

wireless charging

Wireless charging has been working out very well for me. It charges much faster than I expected too, and I only have the regular wireless Samsung pad, not the fast charging one. I rarely charge direct to the cord at home anymore, only when I need a quick fast charge. Also like that it charges with the back case on. I don't see wireless charging as a niche or gimmick anymore.

I think you can infer from the thread that jamerz more or less agrees with our pros and cons. Effectively, he has answered your question. Or rather, the answer you seek can already be got by you.

100% this. The convenience is real.

I do not think he did. When I asked him whether he agreed with the pros and cons that one poster listed (even though the question was addressed to him originally), he said he did not agree with the list of pros and cons. So I asked him about his pros/cons about the device but he refused to give them. He seems to believe that I want him to say something negative about the device. It is a phone, no a presidential candidate, a Ferrari, or a family member. Everything in life has pros/cons. I was just interested in his list since he has owned the phone the longest. It is the same thing when he is asked what he likes about the iPhone that is in his household. It is just a phone.

If I can find a phone that integrates smoothly with my iPad and MBP (e.g. answering phone calls on either one of them), then I will replace the iPhone 6s Plus that I have in a heartbeat. That and the average 7 hours SOT (as measured by the total SOT per app for a period of 24 hours) is what keeps me holding on to the iPhone. Ergonomics suck on this phone, but I manage since I am 6 foot tall and have decent sized hands. It is also damn heavy for an iPhone, the heaviest that Apple has ever produced.
