No S7 premium content here ... Maybe USA only ?

Nope my S7E is international from UAE, we knew we were getting a voucher book for dining but nothing about free games for the VR. As you note the USA guys knew. The App was pushed out from Samsung which was also surprising.

I just received my gear VR but can't seem to find where to download the Oculus app. Can anyone assist me?

edit: never mind, figured it out.
Also do not disable Facebook App else you wont be able to do updates or load games etc afterwards

If I can find a phone that integrates smoothly with my iPad and MBP (e.g. answering phone calls on either one of them), then I will replace the iPhone 6s Plus that I have in a heartbeat.

As you know by now these features are not on the S7(E) so I'm not sure why you are still enquiring, however you can get missed call notifications on your laptop/Ipad but not call answering, should you leave your phone in another room

I do not think he did. When I asked him whether he agreed with the pros and cons that one poster listed (even though the question was addressed to him originally), he said he did not agree with the list of pros and cons. So I asked him about his pros/cons about the device but he refused to give them. He seems to believe that I want him to say something negative about the device. It is a phone, no a presidential candidate, a Ferrari, or a family member. Everything in life has pros/cons. I was just interested in his list since he has owned the phone the longest. It is the same thing when he is asked what he likes about the iPhone that is in his household. It is just a phone.

That and the average 7 hours SOT (as measured by the total SOT per app for a period of 24 hours) is what keeps me holding on to the iPhone. Ergonomics suck on this phone, but I manage since I am 6 foot tall and have decent sized hands. It is also damn heavy for an iPhone, the heaviest that Apple has ever produced.
Hey i have answered all of your questions. You just don't like the answers. All anyone has to do is look at your post history to see the silly little game you are playing. It is pretty close to having my own stalker or maybe someone has a crush? I am not sure.
If pro and cons are what you are looking for then they are here in this thread for you to see. If as you said....you read the entire thread then you have all the answers you are seeking. But that is not what this is about. You want to play the little control game. You have been called out but here by several others here for it as well.
You are still butt hurt over my disagreeing with you over iphone and SOT not being displayed in IOS. Then you have sour grapes because I would bend to your questions about the iphone in another thread. So now you followed me to the S7 thread. Give it up......you have made this very personal. Stop and stick to the subject.

Sorry Everyone.......look at this guys post history in reference to me and you will see what i am talking about.

Sounds like you found the right phone for you. That's good.

This has surely been mentioned here before...

SideSync allows you to answer phone calls on your computer as well as lets you remotely control your phone and navigate the menus. If that's what you're looking for, that's the solution you should look into.

This morning, I accidentally spilled some water on my iPhone 5S. It's fine, nothing major or damaging, but gave me a slight scare.

If this was the S7 Edge, it would've just been a rinse. Would've just wiped it off like I was cleaning my phone.

Just started using this, it kinda looks like we might be getting a sneak peak at a future ui change for touchwiz. It looks more materially but brings back some features from the past (like lockscreen widgets and multiple quick launch apps).

Not liking the multi tasking tray though. I wonder if there is a way to just turn that off? Do kinda like the quick launch app being there though.

How did you change the color of the notification and quick setting area? Mine was an odd purple color.

I agree, the multitasking panel is a step back.

They don't effect the "advance ui" you get when using this app.
Yeah just discovered this myself. The colour options are pretty terrible, other than that I like the notification area but the colour ruins it.

It's definetly a beta product. But something to play around with for a short while anyway.

Multitasking area is dreadful.

Yup, I'm hating the multitasking. I really like the glass effect behind the notifications panel though. The lockscreen and status icons (signal strength, battery) seem cleaner too. Wish we could select the 4 colors it uses. Will probably stick with this for the next couple of days then switch back.

I already switched back. Couldn't be doing with that multitasking drawer.

That app "Good Lock" for the lock screen... Tried it and switched back. Not a fan of it at all. Too many add on features, trying to do too much for a si ple lockscreen. And why would I swipe right to "keep" a notification? You should swipe left to keep and right to delete. Keep it standard with Google services!

Yeah, didn't last as long as I thought I could and just switched back. The multitasking was just so much worse, almost felt like old ios 6.0. I am hoping they bring some of the stuff to the next version of touchwiz, I really like the glass effect behind notifications better than the dimming effect it uses now. And the icons were much more stock looking.

Yep...i think sales are going to be better than expected as well. Hopefully this will show Samsung to forget about benchmarks and specs and concentrate on the ergonomics and user experience. The did a great job on TW (but still needs improvements) and software enhancements. The design and ergonomics of the S7/edge should win it smartphone of the year as well. Can't wait to see what is in store for the Note 6!

T-mobile already selling the Galaxy S7 prepaid. The Edge as well. Interesting that they chose the silver model for prepaid. I guess they went with the most popular color for both.

Memory managment really does seem to be fixed. Had the phone a good few weeks and had no problems. It's so nice to come back to my phone if it's been sat on the table or nightstand and when I go back into an app it's still there from where I left off.

I'm still finding the keyboard making a few mistakes and I wish Samsung keyboard didn't predict email addresses for contacts as suggestions outside of anything but mail.

Bought a new screen protector a dry application one. Will replace the crappy Zagg later and report back.

I notice a lot of you have commented on poor speaker quality. Have to say mine isn't bad at all. Sure it's not going to compare to front facing speakers but my speaker is clear, has decent mid tones (it's not all trebble) and gets reasonably loud without distortion even at max. Do you think there could be a difference in speakers much like SOC or Camera Sensor variations ?

Maybe the international Exynos version has a better speaker, i am also fine with the speaker in direct comparison to my note 5. Maybe it's only a problem with the snapdragon version?

It's not poor, it's just a noticeable downgrade compared to S6/S6 edge.

I truly think it's a software issue, it seems to only affect music, videos, speaker phone, and gaming. But using speaker phone on Skype is much more clear as sounds as good as my previous S6 edge, system sounds(ring tones, notification tones, and etc) doesn't seem to be affected either. I believe it might be the SoundAlive equalizer which basically sucks ass on every preset and manual setting, and I haven't found a way to turn off.

Same goes for the Headphones. Bluetooth doesn't seem to be affected. Again it's not bad, just worst than before.

.

But mine doesn't appear so, if anything the overall clarity on mine is better than my previous S6e/e+/note5 ... That's why I'm wondering if there are different speaker modules or is it down to firmwares ?

Sound alive is able to be turned off on my device too. I still think adapt sound for headphones once set up also produces fantastic results here and noticeably improved my audio experience with headphones.
