But mine doesn't appear so, if anything the overall clarity on mine is better than my previous S6e/e+/note5 ... That's why I'm wondering if there are different speaker modules or is it down to firmwares ?

Sound alive is able to be turned off on my device too. I still think adapt sound for headphones once set up also produces fantastic results here and noticeably improved my audio experience with headphones.

Good catch mru.
Here are the different suppliers:

I think the speaker is not as loud as my N5. I think they lost a little bit of volume due to the waterproofing. I think it is a good trade off.

The speakers are pretty loud to me. I have no problem hearing it navigating in the car with music and traffic noise.

Bluetooth earphone volume is lower than my S6, though, which is disappointing.

Nope, only recently turned WiFi off. I get this sort of battery everyday and this is with watching YouTube, music, browsing etc.. just blows my mind how much I get out of it
I mean in your picture it shows "4g" and not "4glte", that's what I'm asking about. Cause if that's the case, I may have to try turning off LTE for a day and see if I can get by with the slower speeds but better battery.

I see well I'm in the UK and I believe it's displayed as "4g" rather than "4glte" over here, so in that case it was on the whole time, I never turn it off.

Ah, OK. Yeah, over here we have "4g" HSPA and "4gLTE". WOW, so the Exynos looks super solid on battery, I'm only getting 5-6 hours screen time.

4g is LTE. In Europe we don't call it LTE. HSPA is 3g here. HSPA+ is still 3g but slightly faster. Then 2g is just GSM.

Yep hang on for now is my advice

You can see here this loading seems to take 5 secs or more far too often and unknown callers come up as EHZ Studios which is annoying

Update:

EHZ Studios have updated 3 of the apps contacts, call logs and file manager

The only way I could upgrade was to uninstall and re-install, else you get an error code -26

It remains to be seen if they are more stable and refresh times are better, the annoying "EHZ Studio" name for unknown callers has been replaced with "Can't Load" which is equally poor why it can't be just "Unknown" seems daft IMO

There seems a couple of other new edge panel downloads available

Wow, just went to a birthday party with my kids, it was in one of those fun zones where it's dark and they use black Light. Thought this would be a good opportunity to compare low light video on my iPhone SE with my S7 Edge. Holy crap is the S7 better, it is the champ of low light. Too bad I didn't have my 6S Plus to compare, I gave that to my wife, but in the brief time I had both yesterday, the SE camera was pretty comparable to the 6S plus.
IPhone SE
S7 Edge

So is there any other Android phone that could take the lead over the Galaxy 7/Edge this year? I really wanted to get the LG G5 but that's a bust now.

There is always the Nexus phones coming out later and the Note 6 in July/August.

We still got the HTC One, Sony Xperia fall edition, Note 6, Nexus 7, and Moto X. Of those the favorites to do so are the Note 6 and Nexus 7.
