Only thing i will ask is... what kind of 3rd party keyboard is good or close to Apple's.. i absolutely hate the Samsung on screen keyboard?
The GS7 is an absolute fabulous device. I recently received on through my work as an upgrade to my old GS4 and the differences between what Samsumg was doing in 2013 compared to what it was doing in 2016 is night and day.
When i had my s4 as my company phone i would find myself still using my SE or 6S Plus as a work device instead of the S4 which was supposed to be the device i did all my work on..
Now with my S7 i use my iphones less and less even personally. The GS7 is a wonderful device and one that has earned Samsung my respect whereas i used to absolutely despise anything Samsung... Now not so much ... theyve stepped there game up tremendously.

Never really considered whether or not its close to Apple's KB. But I always use Gboard (Google's own KB) instead of the Samsung KB. I find it nice and uncluttered compared to the Samsung one.
Same here, I'm also using GBoard, gets the job done very well.Never really considered whether or not its close to Apple's KB. But I always use Gboard (Google's own KB) instead of the Samsung KB. I find it nice and uncluttered compared to the Samsung one.

What launcher are you using? Nova for me, with Flight theme.
Nope. It seem like the checkbox option was on a Dev Preview 4 for Nouget, but was removed in DP5.Does anyone have this option on their T-Mobile S7?

Seems really bad how I can't reply to texts from the lock screen.
Came here to post just that. I'm doing it right nowIs anyone that has an S7 willing to give Bixby and S8 launcher a try?

Anyone on 7.0, could you please run a geekbench score so I can compare mine? My phone has been getting slower lately, especially after 7.0, it's worse when waking up after a while. I've realized that my Note 5 feels smoother than my S7. I've even done a restore and it still feels the same. Here are some I ran today, the first two I let the phone sit for a bit to cool down, and the 3 is after clearing the cache and restarting. Thanks.
Wow. Exynos:

It's at least as fast as on the day I bought it, and battery life improved. I am fascinated by the fact that apparently my Exynos S7 is over 10% faster than average Exynos S7

Man I wish they would implement more of these things in the iOS version. Especially the align to side function, one handed typing is a bitch on the 7 Plus.@Everybody talking about keyboards, check out this post I made in another thread about the Google Keyboard. I'm not sure people realize how powerful it's become...

For convenience sake, I'll C&P it as well:
Don't know how many people are privy to how powerful the Google keyboard, aka Gboard, has become since last week's update.
It translates texts on the fly, for one:
And now includes GIF and better Google search integration. Suggestions have dramatically improved, too, I've noticed. It'll suggest a word, and then depending on your next word, it'll autocorrect the first one if it guessed wrong. Smart stuff. And voice typing is as accurate as ever.
Also, some of us have been discussing the one 3D Touch function that is almost unanimously praised -- the force touch cursor movement -- and I just want to remind people that Gboard has a similar function in the space bar that doesn't require force touching. You can gesture left and right along the space bar and it'll move the cursor accordingly. While it's missing the up-down movement, this still serves as a great way to move your cursor around.
Another useful gesture is in the backspace. You can swipe left to highlight and erase text, which I find very useful. Furthermore, it leaves what you just deleted in the suggestion bar in case you want it back. A kind of "undo," if you will. This gif demonstrates both the spacebar gesture and backspace gesture. Together, they work really well.
And lastly, let's not forget about gesture-typing, which I think Gboard has really improved upon. I find it as good, if not better, than Swype. It's particularly useful during those one handed situations, but even if both hands are free, gesture-typing is just plain faster. Once you get good at it, you can type out full sentences with merely a few strokes. Emulating a typewriter (that normally employs all ten fingers) with only two thumbs just doesn't make much sense anymore in a software-based keyboard. Gesture-typing has become an invaluable feature. I would never trade it for multi-directional cursor movement, for example.
Even better is if you have a larger/wider phone, you can set your keyboard to align left or right, and still gesture-type very accurately.
Either side is easy to initiate. You long press comma key to align the keyboard to the left side, and long press the return key for the right.
Gboard doesn't get enough love. It is, in my opinion, the best smartphone keyboard to date. It's stable and fast, feature-rich with powerful search and translation built right in, and it's customizable (not just themes, but things like keyboard height, too). And it accomplishes all this solely in the software -- no need for additional hardware tech like a pressure sensitive screen.
This feels like a keyboard that is smart, advance, and adapted to the times.
