I just ordered a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge black version on a 2 year contract for €40,- euro a month.
Which gives me unlimited calling, unlimited texting, 4GB 225 mbit 4 G connection with a fee upfront of 49,- euro for the smartphone.

Totall price €1009 - €799 = 210

€8.75 a month. Not bad at all. Dutch provider Tele2 by the way.
I used to be envious of overseas plans, but honestly T-Mobile is a better deal now.

I'm paying $37.50 (1/4 of family plan) for unlimited everything and 14 gb of tethering, plus free data roaming worldwide.

Phone is running me $34 per month, but I have the option to change to any other phone three times per year so I will get a G5, and a iPhone 7 this year at some point.

No contract

I would switch to tmobile today if I could get that deal with 2 lines. For 2 lines I just don't see why I should switch. No savings over 2 $43 each att gophone lines w/ autopay discount

I may be missing something but it only seems tmobile is cheaper with 4 lines or more

Family plans are different if you just look at the line payments. I have AT&T with 12 lines and pay $30 per line, unlimited talk and text and 30gb shareable data (only 5 lines use smartphones and other than me only one uses more than 1gb per month). Of course the less lines the more per line it will be.

Maybe all of us T-Mobile customers will get our pre orders next week?
Over on Reddit some have talked to TMO reps who say they will ship pre orders on Monday!

LOL

Sorry to tell you, but the iPhone is the Bic Mac at McDonald's or the Honda Accord of smartphones, it's generic and boring. Everyone has one, it's mainly for grandparents and teenagers who are just getting their first smartphone, and want something dumbed-down and simple to use. Sure it has great design and high end build quality, but in 2016, all flagship phones do now a days. Samsung, LG, HTC, the Nexus 6P, they are all built great.

There's things I like about Android more than iOS & vice a versa. Why there is always this tedious need to beat ones chest that one OS is better than the other I don't know.

Currently using an iPhone 6S+ & Note 5.

You don't need to use FB or install it. It's already bloat in Samsung phones, even if you don't see the FB app icon. And if you use Package Disabler on FB, intial download of the Oculus app and updates of Oculus and it's apps will fail.
FB was disabled since day one via the stock applicatiin manager on my Edge+. Never signed in, never downloaded anything from it. I have had no issues downloading any apps for my Gear VR.

It's not too bad, but is noticeably larger than the Note5 and edge+. It is more akin to the Note 4, but you should see it in person to decide how you feel about it.

I can live with it checking that out today again at BB.

BUT I am still concerned about the device not changing the screen mode from adaptive to something else I made in the settings. It did so on demo units of the S6 and Note 5 when I tried it on those. And IF it is really an issue, is it software or hardware related is my question.

I think the Oculus app does some checks, and disabling FB from the stock manager still shows that FB exists within the system. Package Disabler Pro seems to completely hide the app from existing. Doesn't even show up in the stock apps manager anymore. That's why they warn you to enable disabled apps before an update, cause it might screw with the updating process. My guess is, Oculus can't see FB at all when using Package Disabler Pro, so installs and updates don't go through.

So basically Oculus is still somewhat dependent on FB whether it's disabled or not. It must be able to locate it.

Yup, looks like your right. Just did a side by side with my Note 5 and 7edge.

I can't stop looking at the size difference in both phones. Though to be fair the note 5 is 5.7". I wonder if the note 6 will physically be smaller too but retain the 5.7" size...

From the rumors so far, it suppose to stay the same size but the screen will be bigger, between 5.8"-6".

Rumors have been saying 5.8" screen, maybe 5.9" but not bigger than that, and the overall phone to be no larger than the Note 5. Plus a HUGE battery of like 3,700mAh to 3,800mAh.

Am I the only one that thinks the S7 looks better? The screen looks better than the N5.

Well...my s7 edge is expected to ship by Monday. Droid life reports other have already got active tracking statuses from T-Mobile.

Looks like it is coming early!

Luckily UPS will hold the package, since I am out of town for the beginning of the week.

The screen does, the whites look whiter, though that could be because I have my note set to photo mode and the display model was set to adaptive. What we're comparing though is the scaling, on the note you get a little more information on screen.

So happy about the early shipments. Can't wait to hear user feedback. Plus we can get to the bottom of some questions like:

Does Touchwiz still obnoxiously remind you about app optimizations or warn you annoyingly about the volume going up?

And whether finger print scanner is any faster?

I personally do not think that is a bad thing. Like the difference between my 6s+ and my Note 5.

I posted a few screenshots a few posts ago from some people on reddiit. They were commutation with some TMO reps who confirmed they would start shipping on Monday.

Nice. Sorry, I must of missed that post.

Unfortunately, due to a death in the family, Ill be out of town the majority of next week. Lucky, UPS will hold a "will call" for five days...so I should be good.

Oh sorry for your loss BGA!
I appreciate the sentiment. Its sometimes surprising how such things, even from "strangers" (though I feel like I know some of you) on online forums help.

Anyway, I am pretty pumped for this phone. We are reaching a point in mobile technology where the tech is surpassing the needs of the consumer. We are seeing mobile companies focus more and more on polish, and other ventures (such as VR). So I am hoping this phone offers the level of polish and functionality I have been looking for in a phone, but have yet to find (iOS or Android). The 6p came really close...but that was the store for several phones last year.
