The difference in scaling is huge between the 6s+ and note 5. The 6s+ looks like a little kids UI it's so large. I hate the smaller amount of info on the GPS screens, especially Waze where I like to see what hazards are around my trip at a glance. The other fear is that this will affect multi window and the amount of things you can fit. Not only the info from the app, but with increased scaling comes huge titlebars in widgets and such. Ughh not a good thing all around.
But the 6S + doesn't scale things up big at all. It actually shows slightly more content in apps. Here is my 6S+ with the 6P (which shares same dpi scale as Note 5). Even factoring in on screen buttons the 6S+ shows slightly more content. I'll upload Moto X force ones too shortly.

Got tracking info just now from TMO! It says to be delivered tomorrow? That can't be right. They just created the label. It will probably go out tomorrow and delivered Tuesday!

Cool. Looks like the 8th is the earliest date we will see deliveries here.

I hope there is no issue with the screen mode if one does not like adaptive. I will wait to hear from early owners.

Changing the DPI scaling on Android phones is super easy and fast. There's several ways to do so, a lot of phones have it baked into the Display Settings. Or you can download an app from the Play Store, or easiest is to just change it in the " build.prop " just set it to the number you like best, and reboot, and your all good.

But you need root ;) thus voiding your warranty, disabling Samsung pay etc...

Who doesn't root their Android phones ? I've owned maybe 20 smartphones the past several years. And every one of them, I root as soon as I take out of the box with the stickers still on them. That's the big selling point of Android to me, they're meant to be rooted, to install AdAway and giving ultimate control to the user, as it should be.

Just like an iPhone, I only buy one when the Jailbreak is available for that current firmware, an iPhone with no JB is useless to me. I couldn't even fathom using a stock iPhone. So you just take it out of the box and start using it, with zero customizing done to it ? Holy cow no way, not in a million years could I use that phone bone stock. And I'm sort of the same opinion with my Android phones too

But hey that's just me, a nerd. I want that complete freedom of total customization and no limits as to what I can do to my phone. Otherwise they feel like a dumb-phone locked down with zero changes allowed.

The VAST majority ...

You're in a very small niche subset of users. I would definitely consider myself a technology nerd, but have no interest in rooting, and voiding my hardware warranty - especially with Knox trigger. I likewise need to preserve resale value, and a lot of the resale value is in the remaining warranty ...

The VAST majority ...

Of course the average Joe Blow doesn't, which makes up the 99% of the buyers.

But I'm on a geeky tech forum here, we make up that very small 1% of sales. And I would hope all you nerds are rooting and jailbreaking :)

Like I say, I need to preserve resell value as I go through so many that I just don't chance rooting myself. I also don't get a lot (or if any) adverts in any of the apps I use either - so personally have no use for ad-away.

Yep.....I used to root and flash custom roms on all my phone's to get extra features. But then I came to the conclusion I SHOULDN'T have to do that together features. If a phone doesn't have the features I want then I move on the the next one. No more jumping through hoops to get features.

Different strokes, for different folks :)

For me, I couldn't use an Android phone without rooting and ROM'ing to make the phone better; with much improved battery life always, smoother RAM performance, no Ads, and adding features that are already in the phone, they just need to be unlocked with root to access them.

Sane with a jailbreak on the iPhone.

I am getting mine tomorrow too. It's happening so fast that I have zero accessories like a screen protector or case. My local Best Buy didn't have anything earlier this week. Maybe T-Mobile might, but highly doubt it.

To be fair, 99% of users are not going to be concerned with the scaling more than likely and thus not needing to root to change it.

Changing the screen mode and it not taking affect if it indeed is a problem, now that is going to be real interesting especially if it is hardware related.

Is there big difference between the pro and the evo for micro SD cards? The pro cards are significantly more expensive.

Edit: oh wow I see. The write speed is much better with the pro. Is that the reason you're going pro? What difference will that difference in write speed make in daily use of the phone?

In case I choose to record 4K directly to the card. I don't want the quality to suffer. I also plan on running VR content from the card.

How bout for everything else? Will it make a big difference for writing pics and changing tunes of songs from your microSD card? Some of the more everyday tasks, would one need the pro card's write speed?_
[doublepost=1456678998][/doublepost]Question for those on T-Mobile's jump on demand...

You guys don't feel it's hard to turn in your device when upgrading to a new one? No one gets attached? I feel like I'll never "own" a phone. That doesn't bother anyone?

You know what's the best part of Galaxy release windows? People don't have to camp out for weeks or sleep in parking garages. It's like people are.... normal when purchasing phones. Watch people camp out for a 4"? (Which shall remain nameless since well idk the name.)
