Thanks for that. I just ordered the same case.

I placed my S6 edge in that case and I can't believe how similar in size the S7 edge is.

How bout for everything else? Will it make a big difference for writing pics and changing tunes of songs from your microSD card? Some of the more everyday tasks, would one need the pro card's write speed?_

For everything else, it's more than fine.

Samsung Evo 128 is good enough at $50 .....

Or go for the full 200gb at $99 ......

Question for those on T-Mobile's jump on demand...

You guys don't feel it's hard to turn in your device when upgrading to a new one? No one gets attached? I feel like I'll never "own" a phone. That doesn't bother anyone?

Well I have up to 3/28 before I'm required to send my S6 edge back. They give us time.

Which is why I wish the S6 Edge was upgrade to M already, so I could test out the restore feature.
[doublepost=1456680212][/doublepost]I have seen on some videos and pictures, that the S7 comes with an OTG adapter in the box.

Here's a picture I found from Android forums ....

Not quite TouchID or Nexus Imprint.

Nope. I'm hoping it's cause of the weird angle he's going at it. With the phone in hand, my thumb lands horizontally more than vertically as one might when the phone is on a table.

Usually that means a faster unlock.

Changing the DPI scaling on Android phones is super easy and fast. There's several ways to do so, a lot of phones have it baked into the Display Settings. Or you can download an app from the Play Store, or easiest is to just change it in the " build.prop " just set it to the number you like best, and reboot, and your all good.

Not for us poor souls with unrootable phones.

But the 6S + doesn't scale things up big at all. It actually shows slightly more content in apps. Here is my 6S+ with the 6P (which shares same dpi scale as Note 5). Even factoring in on screen buttons the 6S+ shows slightly more content. I'll upload Moto X force ones too shortly.

Maybe, but I've never used those phones. I see the opposite with the note 4 and 5, they show more info especially in maps and gps title apps, the difference is quite significant. I posted some pics of the note 4 versus the 6+ a while back showing a marked difference.

Who doesn't root their Android phones ? I've owned maybe 20 smartphones the past several years. And every one of them, I root as soon as I take out of the box with the stickers still on them. That's the big selling point of Android to me, they're meant to be rooted, to install AdAway and giving ultimate control to the user, as it should be.

Just like an iPhone, I only buy one when the Jailbreak is available for that current firmware, an iPhone with no JB is useless to me. I couldn't even fathom using a stock iPhone. So you just take it out of the box and start using it, with zero customizing done to it ? Holy cow no way, not in a million years could I use that phone bone stock. And I'm sort of the same opinion with my Android phones too

But hey that's just me, a nerd. I want that complete freedom of total customization and no limits as to what I can do to my phone. Otherwise they feel like a dumb-phone locked down with zero changes allowed.
I don't root mine anymore. Firstly I can't being on ATT. Even if I could it would disable samsung pay, void my warranty and other negative effects. I'm all for root and highly miss it, but it's just not an option for me. Same thing with all the other ATT subscribers out there.

Plus you can't assume everyone wants to or even can root their phone. Rooting is easy for us, but your average consumer would probably be lost.

Apparently finger print scanner is a little better:

Wow, that was one annoying video. The guy just hovers his finger over the home button, and completely wrecks the purpose of the test. He needs to just go for the unlock without sitting there with his finger Hovering. Put your finger on the damn thing on both phones at the same time. Hovering over it and the video taken from the angle it is makes the whole video useless. You can't be sure when his finger actually makes contact. Annoying. Lol

One of the main reasons we left ATT for T-Mobile, was the locked bootloader BS, and on principle I just couldn't keep giving them my money, for their Nazi ways, they have become far worse than even Verizon used to be with their crappy business practices. Plus ATT billing used to always be high each month, never the same, always nickel and diming us, and with T-Mobile my monthly bill for seven months straight now, has been exactly to do the dot what it should be, month after month the same, and the service network I see no difference, very fast speeds, and we get connection everywhere here around Chicago. I just can't support ATT on principle anymore.

I remember back in the day ATT was great, I had the ATT Note 2, and that thing was a beast, with amazing XDA Development, and some awesome ROM's and Kernels back then, turning the Note 2 from a good phone, into a great phone. Those ROM's would get me 7h Screen On time. Sadly those days are gone with ATT :(

I am so happy with my T-Mobile Note 5;

ROM;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...m-darthstalker-note5-version-1-aroma-t3212091

Kernel;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/development/arter97-kernel-galaxy-note-5-t3189907

Just read the list of details this ROM + Kernel offer, it transforms the phone into a super beast of a device. I now get 6h to 6.5h Screen On time, and 30 hours battery life on my Note 5. Super smooth, very fast speed. The Multitask RAM issue is fixed. Better colors and display tweaks. Louder speaker, I mean much louder and crystal speaker sound. No ads on any apps or websites. And tons more customization than you can imagine.

Is this ROM + Kernel stable ? YES, never once had a reboot, never once a force close, or weird issue. It has been 100% rock solid stable. As they say "It just works"

As far as warranty be void ? Ok I guess so, but out of the 20 different smartphones I've owned, never once used or need my warranty. And Samsung Pay I don't use.

Yea, I went to T-mobile when the Note 4 released. AT&T throttling after 5gb became too unbearable for me, and at that time, they had no other offers worth exploring. Their prices became ridiculous. Also, AT&T is known for disabling features and removing earphones from the box.

I go through 3 phones a year. I used to buy outright, but it has become a PIA to resell. I just don't want to deal with the hassle. So, I'm on JoD now and used it to get the S7. If I see something better come out in a few months, I'll just turn in my S7 and get the new one. It is simple to walk in to a TMo store and get a new phone with zero money required to walk out with it. You then have a week to ship the old phone back to TMo.

I'm also on JoD, starting with T-Mobile and the Note 5 last Summer. No point paying full price for a new Android phone, and then worry about selling for it far less, and then buy a new one at full price again.

JoD I just pay $24/Month with $0 money down for my Note 5, and then just turn it when ready to change phones. Still not sure I'll get the S7 Edge yet, maybe wait a month for couple reasons; for the JoD price to come down, and for XDA Development to get started first

Well, as long as it reads accurately, that's all that matters to me. The S5/Note 4 FP scanners were atrocious. Imprint at the back is inconvenient for folks lying their phones flat on a surface.

Its most likely a design choice by the app developer instead of scaling, or they haven't updated for the 6 Plus. Here are some pics of a bunch of apps on both my iPhone 6S Plus and Note 5, and for the most part they seem about the same. I tried my best to line up the content.

All right all right, I'll go on jump on demand. Twist my rubber arm, why don't cha? :)

I'm keeping my s6 though. It'll make a helluva back up phone.
Yeah, I'm heading out to t-mobile right now to see if it's cheaper than my AT&T plan. Can't check online because they only give me an option to add smartphones and 5 of my line are flip phones.

I will still wait for MM update on my s6 first. If it elevates the experience enough, I may just hang on to it.

If not, I'll wait for the first wave of units and reviews to come out, then use JOD. No point in waiting for a price drop if I'm going to start leasing, I guess. I'll never actually buy out the phone. Not at this rate!

And yes, this forum is dangerous. Lol. But hey, a big part of me wants you guys to enable and encourage me to just go ahead and do it.

So thanks! ;D

Are you currently leasing the S6 on JoD, or would you join the program with the S7?

Pretty sure the reviews are going to be very favorable. There is little to nothing wrong with the new phones.

Speak for yourself in my book any feature you have to root for is a fail in my book. I never root any of my Android phones, you just shouldn't have to.

This obsession with jail breaking & rooting everything is beyond me & of utter uninterest.
