Android pay works like Apple pay.Question about using Samsung pay. With Apple pay, you can simply put your device to the terminal and it will bring up which card you want to use for the purchase and it scans your fingerprint without having to manually pull up the card. Does Samsung pay work the same way? Or do you have to manually pull up the card and then put it to the terminal?
Samsung pay required you pull up the card. But it is literally a swipe away from the lock screen, home screen, etc. You can also just opt for Android pay. I found Android pay to work a slight bit better then Apple pay. Don't know why.
Samsung needs a trigger, due to the nature of the technology. I do believe it will automatically come up with an NFC terminal. But for magnetic card readers, you have to trigger it. Makes sense. NFC has the ability to trigger s device, magnetic doesn't. You don't want your phone broadcasting your magnetic card signature all the time. It works really well, though.
