Have you actually watched that whole segment?

How he was referring to something like stealing the idea of fonts from books and typesetting and adding them to Apple products...How you take culture and ideas from things like art and history and add them to Apple products.

Given the time of that interview, I have doubts he was suggesting stealing from the likes of Commodore, Tandy and Atari ST.

How about Xerox? It does speak to the culture and mindset........
Do you think they would stop at artistic impressions? You admit they stole fonts from other peoples books and adding them to Apple products. Do you really think it stopped there?
Didn't he go on to say
“We have always been shameless about stealing great ideas.”

Not really the same as apple asking samsung to build them a few million a8 chips

It must really hit a soft spot when the heart and soul of the iPhone is made by the company you people hate so much

Hehe, it's funny to watch all these pedrocm juniors do a double take.

Cmon man apple ripped them off big time

That's a well thought out academic retort, but Xerox was an investor in Apple, made money off Apple and when Apple got bigger they sued Apple and their allegations of being "ripped off big time" didn't last long.

Do we have a source of who made the new iPhone 6 LCD screens? It would be awesome to have them take a triple take if they were to find out Samsung makes the best amoled screens and the best LCD screens lol

You do know while Steve jobs was copying everyone back then he had a pirate flag posted on the apples headquarters right?

I suppose you missed the part where he spoke about "where one gets the idea", and how Apple was bringing artists, zoologists, astronomers and all types of other backgrounds into Apple to bring fresh concepts into Apple products.

I suppose it's possible to steal from the trade of typesetting and applying it to computers, but I don't see that being something that would hold up legally.

Xerox should have presented that to federal judges as evidence. Would have changed everything.

I am going to disagree with you and leave it at that. You are being picky about what you choose to reply about.
What about ths quote?

I did reply to it and it's just a sentence in a much larger interview in a documentary that is phenomenal.

You should watch it for yourself and understand what the culture of Apple was like back then and why jobs talks about stealing ideas of art and applying them to technology.

Unless you think he was talking about IBM or Microsoft? That documentary is from way before the iPod.

This is one of those issues you find when you open up the box; it just does not happen during everyday use. It’s a manufacturing defect and no one would/should stop you from returning/exchanging the product. I had to return an iPhone 5S last year because it had a spongy display; aka manufacturing defect. The year before that I had to return an iPhone 5 due to nicks on the metal band; manufacturing defect. Let’s not pretend that it doesn’t happen to Apple. Every product mass produced has a fall out percentage.
But iPhone bending issue is a design defect. It could happen in the first week or it can happen 3 years from now.

What do you have to say about Steve putting up a pirate flag at apple? It goes well with what he said in the video interview

Never mind the gap between the events of about 12 years and he wasn't even an Apple employee at the time

The really bad things is here we are arguing over a posting started from the trolling of Raffi. He started trolling here.....then left the rest of us to argue and stew about it.....

Awesome, I hope my Note 4 got the same feature. Only people who commute on a train know how great it is sometimes to have a sunvisor to watch a movie. Now all you need is a piece of paper, stick it on, nice shadow to watch movies.

I am not even kidding lol ... That'd work.
