hey guys.
i bought a gevey sim from appleberry and i just got it today.
i cant seem to get it to work.. not even the geyey welcome menu pops up
when i put it in the phone.. just sim locked. its jailbroken but still on 4.1. do i need to restore it or something before i do this
?
Make sure it's right side up. If you have T-Mobile, the T should be upside down when you insert it.

I also received my GEVEY-like Sim Interposer from SunSky. It was an extremely tight fit, but nevertheless I got it to work

yess i insterted another sim from the same carrier though and it worked. maybe i accidentally cut into it. weeee.

Hey guys I was just wondering if any1 can help me with a problem I'm having with the phone with the turbosim. Everything works fine with the phone, but the internet doesn't seem to be working....I'm with t-mobile and I have the unlimited data plan, but it doesn't work!! I tried all the settings (internet2.voicestream.com, epc.tmobile.com, wap.voicestream.com, maybe some others I missed) but still doesn't work. Does any1 else have any problems related to mine? And if you could help me out to make my internet work again, it'd be appreciated. Thank you!

I'm guessing that you turn on the data but still no edge sign on your ip4? You may have to contact t-mobile and ask about its APN and mms setting.

Data Roaming on?

For those that used Sunsky, how long did it take to receive the DHL tracking number?

sunsky they sell not the orgininal gevey.i order 2 and then waited for 3 4 weeks yesterday i got it and opened it.it not the gevey it is a Smartsim but inside the package is gevey but not the original one

Sunsky has them down to $14 a piece!

They are labeled "Gevey" on the SIM interposer and the replacement SIM tray but at this price I'm sure they are knock-offs. Doesn't matter, they work great and the price can't be beat.

Wow, prices have really tanked. A genuine Gevey for about $12.75? :D :D

The folks who jumped in head-first at $75 to $100 must be shatting bricks.

isnt just better to get the remote unlock then jeez and not deal with the hassle?

Yes, if you are willing to spend $150 to $175 to do it, with the risk that A) the site is fraudulent and runs with your cash or B) the unlock is revoked (this can be mitigated by using SAM supposedly but I wonder if that has been tested yet?)...

For me the $15 "Gevey" is the better choice. I rarely would need to use other than AT&T, who I actually prefer anyway. In some remote areas where I may need to swap in a T-Mobile SIM or some regional carrier I can use the "Gevey".

It's obviously not as glamorous a solution, but it works, and the price is dirt cheap.

Well said. I will use Gevey for travelling outside the country; for the price, you can't beat it.

Thats not a genuine gevey

Seems like they've been released a new Gevey SIM called GeveyPRO which released a few bugs and which costs now $50.

So applenberry drops the price from $65 to $50 and changes the name from Gevey Turbo to Gevey Pro. Those buyers who bought Turbo Sim would be very upset because Gevey Pro is better and cheaper.

lol applenberry first time 70$ for gevey and now 50$.that store sucks.buy at store cash only but they charge tax before i bought they charged 76$ with tax

gevey with cheap price is fake

As long as it works I could care less. $10-$15 is all it is worth IMHO I can't believe folks were paying upwards of $100 for the first Gevey's.

I've got several of the 'fakes' and they look and function identical to the expensive Gevey (a friend has the genuine one he wasted $75 on)...

true, except the tray is cheaply made and changes color to dark grey after a couple hours of handling the phone.

I just got this from off of Ebay. I hope it is how this picture looks and is what it says it is. I've been reading how some of the chips are knock-offs. :(

A higher resolution picture wouldn't hurt, but it looks legit to me, I posted some pictures comparing the genuine and counterfeit versions, check them against what you received to be sure.

Does anyone know if it works on iOS 4.3.2?
On the applenberry.com site it says it does, But that probably works only on the new GeveySIM Pro.
