I love my blue pixel XL. its the nicest colour combination I have ever had in a smartphone.
I'm debating switching to the Pixel XL after the 2 is announced and trying that out. Thinking about switching my wife over to the Android environment, too. too bad it's so darn expensive to switch.

You mean the cost of the phone, or the cost of repurchasing apps etc.?

OH SNAP. Possible hint that T-Mobile will carry?

Holy crap if true :) :)

Tried that recently. Wife said, hell no.

She got her first iPhone in 2012 and hasn’t had even the faintest desire to return to android since.
In her defence, I was so dissatisfied with my Android phone in 2012 that I recorded a video on my iPhone 5 of me chainsawing my Android phone in half (I was a young chap back then and thought it was a good idea).

All of that to say -- I now own an Android device again and Android is infinitely better than it was in 2012. :D Are you an Android user yourself? Pardon me if you have already answered that in previous posts.

Design looks like LG except it seems like they made it ugly with the two tone on the back on purpose to not compete with the OEM. Fortunately, the back can be covered with a case unlike the iPhone X's notch on the front.

Heard rumors that LG V30 was delayed for this event. It's possible Moto X4 is delayed for the same reason. Likely we'll see multiple devices announced tomorrow.

Does the Pixel line suffer from the US centric restrictions of Android/google apps?

My wife started on iPhone 4 in 2010. Not sure if she'll be okay with it or not

You were one angry dude, lol

The front of the blue model will be black. That's nice.

And in another leak, a Best Buy ad might have confirmed the orange power button for the "Panda" colored model. Okay, Google.

I saw that. I think that's one of the reasons why I'm intrigued by that color combo. Not that I particularly like orange, I just like that it's different and stands out from the standard black or silver slabs we all see these days.

Yeah it's nice to see some variety nowadays. I don't like the faded blue pixel 2 color but it does have a cool power button color too. It's a brighter/more vibrant teal/aqua like color.

I'm usually a white front phone guy, but the black looks better on the OG Pixel

Me too. (I think the silver iPhone 8 Plus is stunning).

When I had the Pixel, I went black.

Imagine if Google pulled a Motorola and let people customize the color of their phone?

No. The Pixel line is specifically designed to be Android as Google believes it should be. I used an unlocked version on VZW and everything was where it was supposed to be, including visual voicemail included in the phone app.

All the tech sites nerd raging over another Verizon exclusive it yet again thousands of posts and comments complaining about the same Google will never be competitive if they just release it on one carrier only of course I know that'll work and I'll tear is but that's $1,000 phone which in itself is outrageous

Not a fan of that new UI, but I do like the subtle live wallpapers.
