I’m probably one of the few people who were actually excited to hear about a Google Wifi update. 😂

I’ve been quite happy with my first gen Google Wifi setup but am keenly waiting on meaningful mesh systems with Wifi 6. If this second gen system has Wifi 6, I’ll be considering an update to the new Nest model.

The camera performance is undoubtedly excellent as it’s been the past few years but is there any other part of the Pixel 4 that’s compelling to anyone?

And the presenter himself admitted Google’s bread and butter in regards to the camera performance is ‘computational photography’. So, outside of telephone/zoom specific functionality, what limits this functionality to the Pixel 4? Why can’t much of this be brought back to previous models?

He’s not getting the laughs and applause he’s looking for. lol

Agreed, was just about to comment that this audience hasn’t been impressed at all so far.

Showing me remarkable photos taken with Pixel 4 by Annie Leibowicz doesn’t impress me...she can out-shoot me using a disposable camera.

I’d be far more impressed showing me exceptional photos taken by someone off the street who was just handed a Pixel.

Sounds much like the iPhone 11 to be honest, minus the camera being excellent in the past few years.

The event feels like an informal, awkward chat show.

I think the software updates on the camera look good. But no doubt they’ll come to earlier Pixels. Can’t see what hardware on the 4 would make them 4 only?

I don't even see phone trade-in options unless I'm missing something.

I saw the trade in options, but didn't see the Pixel 3 line listed, nor the "a" variant.

Wow, just noticed that as well when I was curious to see what I could get for a Pixel 3XL. Guess Google is just openly admitting it’s not worth upgrading from last years phone. ;)

Think I’ll pre order to give it a go. It’s cheaper than last year, so rumours were way off. And a free chrome book in the UK. Probably get black as I have white now.

Really unimpressed with the entire offering today. The presentation lacked any genuine enthusiasm and felt like they were just going through the motions—‘well, everything’s already been leaked so let’s just make this official and get out of here.’
