If you use something like LastPass or 1Password will that let you into your banking apps?
1Password works great.

You can still use LastPass to auto fill your banking password. Just can’t yet use the face unlock API natively with the banking app.Not yet...those apps aren't working with Face Unlock yet.

You can unlock 1Password with Google’s Face Unlock?
Nope!So people that own the Pixel 4, are you running force 90hz from Developer Options settings?
Nope!
So those that are using 1 password with banking apps, are your apps not as secure as in the UK? Because aside from AMEX, mine all require a username and password (that the browser or app can auto fill) but then require 3 digits that change every time from a second password. Which is impossible to auto fill.
Yeah, forgot about Barclays. It's Halifax & Lloyd's in particular for me that need sorting. It's not quite a deal breaker yet but Google should have given more to thought to advise developers on Face Unlock.I bank with Barclays and their app asks for a set five digit passcode (not characters from it) every time you launch the app (unless you enable biometric which bypasses it where possible), so I’m wondering if these other options (lastpass etc) would work for that?
I see what you’re saying though re non sequential characters of a passcode needing to be entered. Probably no way around that.
Usual stuff from Google. They rely on early adopters to be their beta testers. They’re good about fixing things quickly but it should have been taken care of before release.
Nope! Not changing any settings.....So people that own the Pixel 4, are you running force 90hz from Developer Options settings?
Bank of America and it makes me enter a password in their app. Not supported for Face Unlock yet.Nope!

Sorry...XL here....coming from the Note 10+....wish the XL was a little bigger maybe 6.5 or 6.8 to be honest.Did anyone buy the smaller Pixel 4 and can confirm battery results?
Or are you all XL'ers?!

The phone feels so small at 6.3 lol
it's just i was using the massive Note 10+ for a few days before i got the P4 XLWhat?!
You must have hands like shovels!
It's strange as my iPhone 11 screen is 6.1, but that's just about the biggest I'd like in that form factor.
In the tech world, when it comes to phones, they are notorious for it. Much more so than their competition. Samsung rolls out the occasional beta device like the Fold but not an annual device like the Pixel. Google QC is still a major problem. Not just with hardware, with software as well.I’d argue they are hardly the only company that does that these days.
Nope!

I've never seen anything like that in the US. I have several banking and credit card apps, and with my S8 and fingerprint authentication there is no additional code required for anything. Do you have two-factor authentication enabled, or are you saying that all of your banking apps just require that by default in the UK?
There are people at r/Pixel who need to RMA their 4/4 XL already. The same happened with the 3/3 XL; phones needed to be replaced on day one. It’s astonishing. I just don’t see this level of QC issues with other Android devices. At least I don’t see it on Reddit. I’ve never had any issues with any of my iPhones. It makes me scared to get a Pixel. The chances of me getting a bad device is probably low, but I read about people needing to RMA their device 5+ times months into owning it and it makes me apprehensive. In the tech world, when it comes to phones, they are notorious for it. i agree that Google's QC NEEDS to be better! But in reality......go to any new phone thread and you will see people with TONS of issues. There were a lot of people with defective iphones as well in every phone forum including Reddit and here on MR.There are people at r/Pixel who need to RMA their 4/4 XL already. Google has a leadership problem. The company needs a stronger CEO. How can Sundar allow the Pixel line to be this bad? With the money Google has, they could make an impeccable phone and open up Google stores across the world to make repairs and customer service hassle-free. If Google at least tried, it could eventually be a Pixel vs. iPhone world. But I don’t think Google cares. It’s frustrating.
I didn’t deny that there weren’t issues with new phones by other manufacturers. Face Unlock not registering faces (a few devices with this issue), a camera issue, a screen going completely pink (or maybe it was green; I don’t remember) after just an hour of use, and other screen issues. These were all posted at r/Pixel.What issues are they seeing? Just browsing forums haven't really come across anyone having to return yet, so curious. No issues with mine so far.
