Those bezels  just might buy it just because of those uniform good-looking bezels. First on a android smartphone.

That's honestly not much different, if at all, from the Pixel 4a bezel situation. Unless it's slightly thinner at the bottom than the 4a is but it's hard to tell from that photo.

Is there official size specs of the Pixel 5 out there yet? I'd like to compare it to my 4 XL, because honestly I wouldn't mind going to a smaller phone I've had XL or plus size phones for years kind of getting sick of just how large they are and funky to hold sometimes

Nothing is official. Google haven't even acknowledged the phone yet. But there are plenty of leaks that have the screen size at around 6 in.

most recent leaks point to: 6.1" 90hz display, 4000 mAh battery, 8GB of ram, 128GB of storage, wireless and reverse wireless charging, standard rear lens w/ ultra wide (no zoom lens)

I think moving down to the rumoured Pixel 5 size from a 6.7" Note 10+ would be an adjustment, I love big phones. But an almost all screen Pixel with a wide angle & decent battery is very appealing.

For me personally, I no longer see value in pre ordering and paying a premium. I can wait a month or 2. Gives me time to obsess over reviews as well.....

I was looking forward to a bigger Pixel this year as well. Not sure I would by a pixel that was smaller then the 4XL to be honest.

While I think the Pixel 5 sounds like a good Nexus style device, my question for anyone interested in the Pixel 5 is this....why would you not just buy a Pixel 4 XL?

You can get one for less than the Pixel 5, it has a better display, better processor, better build quality, and face unlock. The only place the Pixel 5 should beat it is battery life and I guess cameras if you prefer wide angle over zoom.

Well.... I already have a Pixel 4XL. Then the screen is smaller than I would like. My preference would be a 6.5 to 6.7 inch display.
So there’s that :) that why I replied about liking bigger phones....

That is a very valid point. The only reasons:

- 5G. If anyone cares
- Face ID and certain apps just didn’t have full implementation. Like my banking app never updated for it and now definitely won’t. Otherwise you’re spot on.

Is there any speculation about when we could see the 5 XL/5s? I would really love to try Android again and based on the leaked pic, the 5s with those uniform bezels look amazing.

I'm most excited about the camera and stock Android experience, but I know the regular Pixel 5 would not be the best flagship in the lineup.

Internal systems leaks point to a 9/25 release, so soon.
Damn, so close! Is this for both models or only the more rumored and budget Pixel 5?
I read Google is hosting a virtual developers event without hardware announcements, but the hardware is supposed to come out before the event. I hope 9/25 is correct for both models.

There's only budget and an XL isn't expected.
