The blue colour looks so good, is it me or is the stainless steel around the camera also blue. This would be my first ever Pixel phone.

Hell to the no, still way to massive for me! I would never let anything that large anywhere near my wrists lol. But that's just me. Im glad others enjoy the large size. Give me a Pixel Watch 2 in like 43mm and that's my perfect sweet spot.

At least they should do 44mm ..and battery will probably be so so on GW 2

This makes sense
Yes, definitely makes sense. It wasn't quite adding up with the leaked specs on the camera. We should be looking at a new advanced sensor this year. I'll be looking forward to your camera comparisons on X!

I'm very interested to know the 8 Pro video quality, currently using the 15 Pro Max and ProRes video is sublime. Easy to use the log files in Davinci & create decent cinematic looking footage.

The blue is going to sell like hot cakes, this seasons colour.

Reckon if Google gave us a larger sized Pixel Watch 2 to cater for everyone, it would be the best combo this year.

I think they’re biding their time with the watch. I think next year it likely won’t be a freebie but they’re probably giving them away now with new orders to get people into their ecosystem and then next year they may make two sizes so people then ‘want’ to upgrade or use one.
Just a theory, but wouldn’t surprise me.

Good theory IMO, not surprised it's 1 size for the first 2 gens at least. No point wasting time money effort etc making 2 sizes if no-one is buying them anyway.

seems pixel 7 pro trade in currently is £404. think that's gone up from £350?

maybe if the 8 pro is £999 the trade in will be £400

this trade in is if you order pixel fold the price is £370 if you went for pixel 7 and £385 for pixel 7 pro

can you imagine though if the pixel 8 gets last years main sensor and pixel 8 pro gets the new GN2? think people will be annoyed.

So if it's £999 and trade in is £400 plus free watch worth £350. Pretty good deal IMO.

I reckon you could be bang on with that theory. Google's marketing direction does seem to be targeting new and existing customers to more than one device; so entry into the whole Google ecosystem, much like Apple. Especially with the free watches. Likely Google are saving production costs this year with just one watch size for gen 2. I for one would likely want to buy a larger size next year myself for gen 3.

Yeah that would definitely frustrate people if Google go that route.

Likewise with Apple & the 14 Pro Max & 15 Plus cameras. The Plus now has 24MP capture, extra processing in night mode, ability to capture depth of field information & refocus afterwards. Same chip, cameras (bar one) & sensors as the 14 Pro Max. The 14 PM has better camera hardware including Lidar, specifically to capture depth of field so why didn't the 14 PM have all the software features of the 15 Plus. Seems Apple was holding back. If I'd bought a 14PM & keeping it longer than a year I'd be annoyed now.

I think I need to leave android, I think if I just go back to Apple, I won’t be jumping on different phones all the time SMH like right now I wanna sell my fold and get ready for next week
Actually, using my 15 Pro Max right now and seriously considering that. Enjoying it more than I thought I would. Battery seems to be better than the 14 PM, and all of the bugs and stutters I experienced with the 14 PM are not present on the 15 PM. I still don't like iOS as much as Android but with almost all of my friends and family on it, it definitely is convenient. I know I'd never do it LOL, but the thought has been crossing my mind the last couple days.

Haha that's actually a real issue. I've noticed since switching to Android that I am constantly enticed by the Folds, the Pixels, etc. Apple might be more expensive in general, but being on Android can also get really expensive pretty quick!

Yep. I deal with this too. If my wife was on iphone, then I wouldn't have even thought about ever switching. But, I do have a 14-year-old daughter that has an iPhone and my 7-year-old son I'm sure we'll get an iPhone in a few years. I do miss the parental tracking.
