Ugh not sure what to don the color? I originally ordered Bay then switched to Porcelain when I thought the blue had blueish chrome camera bar and tinted sides, but it looks to be a chrome camera bar and chrome sides? Not blue tinted?
IIRC, it was mentioned that the camera bar and sides are in silver for all the phones. I don't recall any of the impressions saying they have a colored tint to match the color of the phone.

Part of me wishes I got bay, but at the same time I know that I will enjoy the black phone for sure.

Question is, do I bother with a case, or go naked™ ? Hate to say it but resale value on Pixels is trash (which really sucks given how nice they are), so why should I keep it pristine for the next person that is getting a heck of a deal on a premium phone?

That porcelain still looks awesome to me. That's my go to color for the 8 Pro.

Yeah more I see of both online, the porcelain looks classy and high-end and sort of has the grey Jedi look that Ahsoka wore LOL.

And the blue looks happy, fresh and different, and blue is my fav color, not necessarily light blue, I like dark blue, but worried a blue phone might get old looking or wear out it's cool factor, where white is classic.

Another member of the naked natural titanium club here as well.

OK, doesn't sound quite right when you say it out loud. 🤣🤣

I do have a rugged Rokform case for when I ride my bike or motorcycle but, feels far more comfortable to use without a case vs. previous generations so going naked for the time being. Well, mostly as I have a tempered glass front screen protector and these camera lens protectors as well as AppleCare+. 😉

I fecked up with my Google order of the Pixel 8 Pro Porcelain!
I got to see the Pixel Pro 8 Bay blue today at Verizon! I quickly pre-ordered one!
I will have to decide what color i want to keep :-(
It is a very nice color (Bay), and I'd have got that too if it was available for the P8,..I'd have also went with Porcelain if it was available......but I am glad the P8 colors are blah. This way I am free to pick any case I like, more options, though I'm finding slim Pickens right now lol.

Last year I got the Lemongrass and I love it so much I want to look at it everyday but went with a clear case and it yellowed something terrible. I have a Lemongrass Google case on it now.

I am going to miss not having this color but the phone imo isnt a good as my 4a was.

Hoping the P8 is much better. ....as in a working finger print sensor and a couple of the sites i go to don't freeze up like they always do on this phone.
Didn't have these issues on the 4a.

You bring up a good argument as to why take care of the phone for the next buyer who gets the phone at a great price. And really, the only 2 requi from Google are, does the phone have a cracked screen and does it turn on?

However one of the reasons why I jumped on the 8 Pro was because of the promised 7 years support. So I really do plan on sitting it out the next few years just because of that.. So I plan on keeping my 8 Pro looking nice until it’s time to trade it in a few years down the line.

It looks my order "should" ship soon as the charge from Google is pending. Hopefully I can get my 8 Pro and Buds Pro on Oct 12th instead of the 16th.

Wise words and brilliant thinking! No way I will be hard on the device, I like to keep my items clean and well cared for. Personally I find myself far more careful with a device when I dont have a case, but should also factor in accidents and super long term ownership.

In the hype, I forgot part of why I went pro, and am getting the 8 is because of the projected lifetime. H happily ran my pixel 3 for years as my sole Android phone all because of the perks. I still hold onto it due to unlimited (yet compressed) Google photos, and the fact that the device is just so nice to hold.

The natural titanium of my iPhone 15 Pro reminds me of the brushed stainless steel sides of my old iPhone 4, which cosmetically was my favorite looking iPhone. Just wish the back was black to complete the look. Wonder if Apple would allow the back of the black iPhone to be installed on the natural titanium iPhone?
Photos for the comparison, love the titanium.

No movevent on my side yet either, UK delivery. Still 'Preparing to Dispatch' on the Googke store order. This is normal procedure, we should all see dispatch emails during today from Google. Possibly some on Wednesday too.

Video details lacking on the YouTube page so no idea what settings were selected on each of the phones or if just left in full auto.

Regarding the pixel, is the Video straight off the camera or using the VideoBoost™ Datacenter trick to enhance HDR?

Low light I am in the middle and like the 15 pro better. Pixel brings up shadows far too much, and Samsung over sharpens.

It was a video i saw on Youtube so I have no idea on settings or even how the person got the Pixel early. From what I can see, some shots are better on the iPhone and there really isn’t a lot in it. IF this is indeed accurate and it’s not someone trolling, then the iPhone and Pixel are very close when it comes to photos (Tho i do prefer most night shots on the iPhone).
