Just installed DPD on my phone and low and behold, an order popped up. Now it could be the phone/watch, could be the case, could be both in one…
Tension builds…

My UPS account shows I have 3 packages arriving from Google on 10/11. I'm guessing the 8 Pro, Watch, and then box for trade-in device.

I went to BB and saw both the 8 and 8 Pro. Here are my quick impressions. They only had the black color for both phones. The screen on the 8 Pro is extremely bright like spotlight bright. The display model on hand felt silky smooth in operation even in demo mode. The phone felt premium and good in the hand with the matte finish but the black color does show fingerprints and smudges.
I didn't mess with the 8 much because I have the 8 Pro on order. There is a noticeable difference in size. The regular 8 is similar in size to the Pixel 4a 5G.

One thing to note is that I got to check out the new Pro Max in natural titanium. Honestly, I was rather underwhelmed by the color. It did nothing for me even though people have raved about the color.

For deliveries, if logistics are anything like Apple, Google notify the delivery Companies with the customer order number, where it needs to go and delivery is set for the 12th. This is so they can prepare for a lot of shipments in one day. Vast majority of us are unlikely to receive their Pixel's early but some always fall through the cracks & are delivered early! I quite like this though as they usually pop up on YT! This is for UK deliveries, US may play a different ball game with FedEx/UPS etc.
Apple deliveries are slick, I find Google to be the same nowadays but back in the Nexus days their entire shipping logistics was a complete shambles! It was a lot of fun with stress tracking Nexus pre-orders to shipping! Sheer luck who received theirs on time, mostly very late! Farcical, happy they eventually learnt lessons from that although took a few years to get right.
With the 15PM I tested out all colours on Day 1 in-store. I had pre-ordered Natural Titanium but actually found it a bit too 'London grey' colour! Does look great but I was expecting a different shade to just the grey. I was able to swap my pre-order in-store for a Blue Titanium which I really love. Also I've been rocking beige / gold all year so going for darker colours for this season.

Well, went to Best Buy and played around with both Pixels, and LOVE the size of the smaller Pixel 8, it’s finally back to around the Pixel 4 size which was my favorite, but now with an edge to edge screen.
Pre-ordered it, getting $450 off trading in my Pixel 7, so it came out to $360 and I’ll see what I can get for the Pixel Buds Pro.

Yeah I'm with you, I'm liking the Bay more I see it but know in a few months I wish I'd stuck to Obsidian! Also you guys in the US have higher storage options, we max out at 256GB for the Bay in the UK.
I've not seen Bay in person either, from the photos & YT vids it seems the blue changes depending on the light.

The natural titanium reminded me of the color, wet cement. I think I would like the blue version better. I think my problem is I really like Google's selection of phone colors the last few years with my all time favorite being, Barely Blue for the Pixel 4a.
That is the biggest reason I have stayed with the color porcelain. Yes the color Bay looks awesome but it's a flashy eye popping color and I would probably tire of it within a few months. Whereas the porcelain, is a classy yet mellow color that doesn't get old.
Latercases are brilliant in my experience, I had an aramid one for my Z Fold 4. Texture is so grippy but doesn't look it, just looks cool and it's super light too.I do have a Latercase on order
No case this year for my 15PM bar a screen protector & Apple Care+. Feel like I'm taking a risk given the drop rate isn't looking too good but at least I'm insured!
That blue titanium was my second choice but coming from blue on previous iPhone made my choice easy …and as I type this my Flip 5 sold …okay we ready for Pixel day …hehe and I agree some really nice colors by Google lately with the different models 
The natural titanium of my iPhone 15 Pro reminds me of the brushed stainless steel sides of my old iPhone 4, which cosmetically was my favorite looking iPhone. Just wish the back was black to complete the look. Wonder if Apple would allow the back of the black iPhone to be installed on the natural titanium iPhone?
Compared to Apple, I think Google have smashed it out the park with colours this year, particularly with the 8 Pro where all 3 look great. Hazel on the 8 is really good, matte Hazel would have been awesome on the 8 Pro and Coral too. Apple colours are decent but a bit too muted, nothing to stand out. Wet cement is similar to London grey! I do love the Natural case though with it, that combo is killer.
Everyone does like to make a real fuss over colours each year, especially me lol but then we all usually end up putting them in a case and forgetting about them! Which is why I've ordered lots or cases this year to mix it up.
