So my Mous case arrived, it's the bluish / grey color slim thin case.

Looks super cool 😎, this color is great. I have the porcelain 8 Pro. And it's very soft and silky to hold.

But a few things;

-Too smooth feeling and slippery, doesn't offer much grip or stick

-Fingerprint oils seem to appear quickly on the case, but gow away after wiping, but makes me wonder if the case will dirty over time and get dark?

-Button cut outs, not a big fan of the buttons being flush or slightly recessed with the case, it feels odd and not as easily clicked.

So my quick verdict just having the case on tonight, it looks awesome, it's a bit slippery, the cutouts are not my thing, but it's ok. Overall I rate this case a 3 out of 5, but the high price kills it, no way is this a $50+ case.

I've been trying several cases, mostly in the wallet form. I have the Ringke matte back and several leather wallet cases I ordered from Amazon.

So far my favorite is this suede case

I'm awaiting these two cases:

I ordered this case in deep sea color for my 8 Pro. It does look real nice. 😎

Decided to put my case back on, don't often use them for long but I've convinced myself this 8 Pro is a long term phone so don't want to tempt fate.

Got the Bellroy leather, just ordered the Google silicone and waiting for the Mous Super Thin to come back in stock on Google Store, these will all have been bought with Google Store Credit, so technically free. 😆

I spent too much money on cases for my Pixel 8 Pro LOL.

Think I bought 5 or 6

Out of those the Ringke clear matte case looks great and offers good protection and feels pretty good in the hand.

X-Level is another great thin case but the back can get pretty smudgy and nasty over time.

The wood case I got for my wife's Pixel 8 is the best, it's got a real wood back, and tpu black rubber sides with ridges in them for no slip grip, and it feels GREAT in the hand, just so comfortable and gives a reassuring feel. But they've been out of stock for the 8 Pro since launch.

Mous case probably looks the best, neat design, but it's a slippery eal to hold and smudges up. But I like.

So of all these cases I might like the Ringke clear case best, followed by the Mous. And it would be the wood case #1 if was available.

Because I'm boring I've gone for black for each of them, hopefully won't be long for the Mous to come back in stock. I like the Ghost but it's expensive all ready and I don't fancy paying import fees either.
Haha nothing wrong with black you can't go wrong ever with color choice ... Ghost is definitely expensive and I ordered more out of curiosity plus it has the magsafe which my Spigen lacks ...Mous is the daily bc of the slimness ..others will get in for situations like gym and outdoors activities

This is me I always end up getting too many cases.. I feel kind of proud of myself because I'm only ordering three for this phone.. I've ordered four cases for the iPhone so that's it ..no more cases ..hehe

Only a few more days and it’s finally Pixelmas for me and time to pick up my 8 Pro!

Currently enjoying the 15 Pro Max, particularly ProRes video, but thinking I’ll be going all in with Pixel this year. I’ve missed the whole Pixel experience that Apple or Samsung can’t quite match to.

Overall, I have been very impressed with all the reviews, the main ones have been coming out recently. Video quality has exceeded my expectations this year for Pixel, nice to see Google have stepped up much closer to Apple’s video quality. Really great to hear people’s different user experiences on here both positive and negative.

Will be using the Pixel Watch 2 plus the Pixel Buds Pro. My gen 1 Ultra Watch will be temporarily given to my better half! Superb watch but just feels too big & chunky on my wrist all day.

Busy getting my 8 Pro accessories sorted starting with a Whitestone Dome screen tempered glass protector & a skin for the camera bar.

I’ve ordered two official Google silicone cases, my black Bellroy leather case is in transit. Like @UltraInstinct I’m also waiting for the Mous Super Thin to come back in stock on Google Store for another Google Store Credit purchase. I also received additional credit for the case purchases, why doesn’t Apple offer this, it’s great! Waiting to find a high-end brown leather case too.

Looking forward to the camera comparisons between the Pixel 8 Pro, 15 Pro Max, S23 Ultra, Huawei P60 Pro and Xiaomi 13 Pro/Ultra. I see Xiaomi are launching the 14 Pro/Ultra in China this week on 26/10.

With the bluish color Mous case, this home screen theme color matches it near perfect;

Hate to say it, but my sim is going back in my iPhone and I’m considering parting with the pixel 8 pro.
I did think this year I’d end up going for the iPhone over the pixel and it was always my longer term plan. But due to being able to get the pixel plus watch 2 for such a cheap price it was a no brainer to go all in.

I’m so so disappointed in the camera. Like I actually cannot stand using it currently due to this complete lack of colour in every scenario. It’s ruining the one thing I’ve always loved about these phones. I am not going to do a return or exchange as I think this is software related. I know there will be some who say they don’t see it and their device is fine, that’s all cool. But my camera view prior to snapping (and not so much the actual photo, but it’s affecting the finished snap too) is just a mess.

So for now, I’m out. Will keep hold of the phone I think unless I use my iPhone a few days and just don’t have the desire to go back to pixel.

My home screen. A little bit busier than usual, but I'm using the Pixel pretty much 24/7 now, so it needs to be a little more utilitarian.

Also, I'm using the Soul browser and I love it so much. It's just so good and so customizable. I finally found a good Safari replacement on Android.

And I have my beloved Sync for Reddit back. 😍😘

Hopefully a few updates with the software will bring it back in line..

Hoping so.
Here's a screen grab of the viewfinder from photos I was trying to take just now.

First is pixel. Second is iPhone.

Colour on the pixel is the same whether it’s front or back cameras. So something is going on.

I'm not seeing that at all. Here's one pic I took this evening on a cycle ride. Nothing special but shows the depth of colour in this late afternoon shot near my home in the UK.

Like I said. Many people will not be seeing it.
I've only noticed it in the last few days and photos outside of viewfinder are generally ok. But still not right to my eye.

Other people on Twitter have also commented on it.
