Supposedly, the $1099 Best Buy deal is still active but only in-store. I will go tomorrow and try to see if that is the case.
BB trade in "department" emailed back saying any quoted trade in estimates are only saved at the time the order is placed and cannot be honored after the original purchase w/ trade in is cancelled. Can't believe I canceled my original pre-order.

I re-ordered and will take the hit on the trade in which is now $660 plus a $200 gift card. Got a shipping notice a bit ago, should arrive on Thursday.

The $1099 deal does work in-store. I was going to place the order, but it would mean giving them my iPhone on the spot, which I am uncomfortable with since the employee said people’s orders have been being randomly cancelled. If my order were to be cancelled, I would not be able to get my iPhone back. That’s way too much of a gamble. Best Buy needs to get their **** together.

One thing just dawned on me LOL The size of the Pixel 9 Pro, being a 6.3" size display, is the same exact display size of probably my most favorite Pixel phone ever, the Pixel 4 XL. I absolutely LOVED that phone, mostly the feel in hand, and how comfortable it was, plus it was a super cool looking smartphone, especially in the oh so orange color, or white panda look. But the battery life blew in that phone, which was so sad.

And it's funny, reading the old promotional material now, but back at launch, calling the Pixel 4 XL the extra large, super sized phone, with a massive 6.3" display.

That sucks. I just posted about my experience. At the time of purchasing the phone online, BB even has a stupid disclaimer that states the trade-in value is good for 15 days. But of course they won’t honor that. lol. I’ll just get the 16 Pro Max. Thanks, BB.

I just tried to check out the redesigned Nest which I've seen plastered all over Google's socials etc, but it's US only.

No word whether it will come to the UK, apparently. Ah well, guess I'll hold out!
Definitely using my Store Credit for the buds then I think 😁.

Thinking about putting my $350 credit towards the larger Pixel Watch. I know you’re not a big fan of smart watches in general but I use mine for everything and figured it’s time to see how Wear OS stacks up vs WatchOS. Plus, I have too many damn earbuds/headphones already. 😂

Call me a clown because I just placed a 9 Pro XL order. It will cost me $244 instead of $0. It is what it is.
Not a clown, I essentially did the same thing. I'd be tempted to go to a store and try in person, but I don't want to give up my phone either in case something goes wrong / need to return the Pixel. Live and learn, enjoy the phone!

Thank you! I learned a huge lesson from all of this.

It's definitely not worth the gamble at all doing it in-person. Best Buy shouldn't be allowed to take your phone without handing you a phone in turn immediately. Or, you pay the original amount in-person but then get the refund once you trade-in the phone and a get a phone back upon pick-up day. I wonder how many people get screwed over because of this. I can imagine quite a few.

So next week, when the phones are in store to sell ( Best Buy ) couldn't I just walk into BB with my S24 Ultra, and tell them I want a new Pixel 9 Pro XL, and will be trading in this mint condition Samsung 24 Ultra right now for it. The trade-in value is $1099 on a S24U, and the 9 Pro XL is the same price, I should only need to fork over the difference in tax of a a hundred bucks or so. Right?

It's only a pre-order perk, so the deal will not be active after pre-order ends (I am assuming that would be this Thursday). So, the inflated trade-in value of the S24U will almost likely no longer exist by this Thursday.

Thanks, so not get too detailed, but my S24 ultra is a the blue one bought and paid off direct from the Samsung store. But on BB website and trade-in options they didn't list that exact type of S24 Ultra that I have.

I am worried, that if I agree to the trade-in, just pick a generic, but same spec'd S24 Ultra on BB website, in like the grey or yellow as my trade-in, and then when times comes to pick up the Pixel, and I give them my Galaxy S24 Ultra, will they say hey this doesn't match what you opted for in the trade-in drop down menu? Or no?

Not sure how strict or to the point BB would be on stuff like this?

I'm not a fan of them but I've worn my pixel watch 2 pretty much every day since I got it. And the first gen the whole year prior.
So I do wear them, but I literally use them to tell the time.

On my second order for the pink 9 XL, I've taken advantage of the Google store UK offer of £150 off the Watch plus £50 in store credit for the purchase of the watch, so looks like I'll be wearing a series 3 now too.
I stuck with the smaller 41 as it fits me nicely and the bands I have amassed won't work with the larger watch. So no brainer to keep the size the same. An increase in performance and a brighter display definitely will be welcome.

I've heard that this is okay to do? As long as the item is in Best Buy's inventory, you should be good even if the item is a different color. I am not 100% sure, though, that this would work for you since it is a model that Best Buy does not sell since it is a an exclusive Samsung color. So, the item is not in Best Buy's inventory. I would go into the Best Buy you want to purchase the phone from today or tomorrow and ask them. Make sure you take note of the person's name so that you can refer directly to them if you decide to purchase the phone later.

You have to order in store.

I was able to get $1099 trade in on Saturday, by having the rep add the code Google on the final screen.

They already took my trade in and processed the order.

Nice. My pre-order from BB online already shipped, arrives Thursday. Regardless, I wouldn't trade in my phone without walking out of the store with a new phone. Kicking myself for canceling the original order.
