Thought I read the display on the Pixel 9 Pro line is the exact same as the one Apple uses on the iPhone 16 Pro.

I see one spot mentioned below on a Google search but would have to verify it

In terms of display, both phones boast LTPO panels with a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate. Apple's iPhone 16 Pro reaches 2000 nits peak brightness, while the Pixel 9 Pro pushes ahead with up to 3000 nits, positioning the two neck and neck in display performance.

Pixel hype always drops off a cliff once the phones are out lol.

In other news, ended up cancelling the Buds Pro 2 pre-order, don't think the fit will be any better than my gen 1 so seems a waste.
You have the gen 1 pros? I feel like they all look the same fit wise

Fold shipping dates are getting much better. Debating returning the 9 Pro XL and getting a Fold. I only held out because my lizard brain wants it NOW. But I want to get the iPhone 16 Pro in hand first and compare cameras.

What's the last iPhone you used? I feel if you want to compare the camera then the current phone you have versus the iPhone 16 Pro will be a better indication

Really just trying to see if the 16 Pro macro blows me away enough that I don't care if my Pixel can take photos or not. If I stop using Pixel as a camera and it becomes a work phone, then I would rather have the Fold for productivity.

In-laws staying with us and they got Covid, then my wife and I tested positive Friday, so we're a happy Covid family. Spending the time enjoying the Pixel and playing with Add Me and other camera AI features. I'm so glad they adjusted the default color temperature vs the Pixel 7 and 8, at least to my eyes and the photos I take. Spot on color accurate for me in all scenarios.

Other than that, I must've played at least 15 games of MLB The Show 24 and watched football all day yesterday. Fun times!

And that's the end of my tenure with the 9 Pro Fold...

It's absolutely superb; really a big fan. But there are a few apps I use for the work I do that do not sit well on Android; some internal apps that are iOS only and I'm missing the AirPlay 2 capabilities for my office hifi etc...

Sold it for £1450; will be buying the 16PM as soon as I can get my hands on one; for now my brothers old 13PM is going to be my daily from tomorrow onwards (and will pair that with an AWU2) 😂

Ah hell...

That sounds like it was for my wife & I, and her folks, in Feb 2023. Went up to the Highlands for the week and rented a local house as my folks property was full; I got the dreaded lurgy for the first time and passed it around; all 4 of us were rotten and came home on the Wednesday after only getting there on the Saturday 😂

Can scratch you off the list of people I was waiting to find a reason to cave and run back to iPhone. ✅ 🤣

You are now banished from the Alternatives to iOS section of the forums. Can't help but feel like many here yolo buy an Android phone just to give the illusion of choice then go running back to Apple as soon as the new one is announced lol.

I've no choice when it comes to work unfortunately; these apps I need to be able to use fluidly and the internal devs are A class tits at the best of time and they won't amend

I also don't want to keep a premium phone here gathering dust; my N20U will keep doing its superb job as my business mobile for calls/messaging etc and I'll use my iPhone for the work apps when required

Don't be so hurt; it's only a gadget at the end of the day...

You had a good run haha, this is the 1st time I got Covid. My father-in-law is an idiot, otherwise my streak would be intact.

Totally. Luckily I tested positive on Friday morning and started Paxlovid that evening. So I had the weekend to rest up, today I'm virtually asymptomatic which is great and surprising.

I put the two Covid stimulus payments to good use back in 2020. First one I bought the Xbox Series X and 2nd one paid for the PS5.
