I must have good ear hole 😜 as my pixel buds have never hurt my ears. In fact, no in ear headphones ever have! I've not used loads, though.

I do prefer AirPod Pros overall.

The OG AirPods and all versions of AirPods Pro have always fit me perfectly, anything else not so much....

I only really use my Pixel Buds Pro when my APP2 are charging so probably wasn't a great idea upgrading them anyway lol.

And that's the end of my tenure with the 9 Pro Fold...

It's absolutely superb; really a big fan. But there are a few apps I use for the work I do that do not sit well on Android; some internal apps that are iOS only and I'm missing the AirPlay 2 capabilities for my office hifi etc...

Sold it for £1450; will be buying the 16PM as soon as I can get my hands on one; for now my brothers old 13PM is going to be my daily from tomorrow onwards (and will pair that with an AWU2) 😂
Don’t feel bad, it is what it is. You gotta use what works best for you in your situation. I’ve tried switching entirely over to Android a few times in the past and realized it’s just not doable for my situation but thankfully, I can afford to have two great phones. I’ve just come to realize there are certain things I can’t/won’t be able to do with my Android device.

How do you read notifications properly on your iPhone?

I don't feel bad; more pissed that the devs are idle and won't give etc. But not my problem really; too big an organisation for them to listen to my whining 😂

But the ATV remote, AirPlay 2 capabilities I'm really missing and also the fact that iPhone seems to play much better with my BMW Bluetooth than Android does etc...

I could have kept the 9 Pro Fold but 2 top end devices for me, just doesn't make sense; one would literally sit there and be used for calls/texts and that's it... £1450 in my back pocket is a nicer feeling haha

I honestly don’t read too many on my iPhone, most are screened through my Apple Watch Ultra. Apple has improved them a bit with iOS 18 with the new notification summaries but again, I don’t use them a lot as it is.

Basically right now I’m carrying my Pixel 9 Pro Fold in my pocket while the iPhone either sits on a charger at home or in my back pack if I think I might need to grab it for something. I’m doing some research to see if I can replace some of the native Apple apps (mostly Notes and Reminders) with cross platform options but it’s a difficult proposition as my family and I rely on both and they’re not gonna be keen to switch to something else. The Apple Watch Ultra is always on my wrist, is my direct link to my main phone number and gets used extensively to take calls, reply to messages, all fitness related activity and all in person payments. I often don’t take any phone with me when I can and the AWU fills in nicely in most regards.

I'm going nowhere near it.. Only just sold my 15PM and the 16PM is not an upgrade, at all...!
Not going near the 16 PM eh?

Spent the past few weeks on vacation with the Pixel 9 xl as my daily with my USA sim in it. Z Fold tagged along with a European data sim in it.

I really do love this Pixel 9 xl. The film factor and size, are absolutely perfect for my pocket, and I am impressed overall with the camera, although most photos require some editing to look the way I prefer for posting to SM.

However I am pretty quickly realizing that I cannot go back from a folding phone form factor. Each night when we returned from the days activities the pixel went on the charger, and I used the z fold.

Logic says that I should just sell both of these on, and buy a Pixel fold, but I am actually a bit torn if I fully want to step away from Samsung. I am one of the few people who really uses DEX on a regular basis, and I would be sad to no longer have that capability.

What I will most likely do is put the pixel on a cheap USA sim, and use it as my around town phone.

Why not just stick with the Z Fold? Sounds like you’re happy with it and it offers features you value that you can’t get elsewhere.

Remember, while the P9PF has ‘Pixel cameras’, they’re a few generations old and not what you get with the standard Pixel 9 Pro, if that matters to you.

Had anyone on Android 15 tried out the new ‘dex-like’ features supposed added and available to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold? Waiting on my update and can’t be bothered to add the beta while I wait. 😂

The fold will most likely remain my daily driver.

I haven't been paying super close attention, but apparently there are some insane deals popping up on the Fold 6. I might begrudgingly buy one of those. I am still very disappointed by the small outer display on the new fold, and the cameras are still worse than the lesser pixel fold cameras.

I honestly prefer the pixel OS to Samsung after using them both extensively, and the fold is a absolute brick to carry around. I am training for for a marathon right now, so I am taking the phone on my body for many long runs, and there is such a huge difference in the pixel in my belt vs the fold.

We shall see I may order both the fold 6, and the pixel 9 fold to see if either can be my do it all phone.

Only available on the tablets thus far, not included on the Pixel Fold series. I have a feeling that eventually it will be added though.

I have the ZF 6 and while there is alot to like about it, there is no way I could give up my Pixel 9 Pro Fold for it. I know you use Dex, but Google is rumored to eventually add Dex like capabilities in Android 15. The P9PF is just the perfect size and form factor in my opinion. The cameras are not as good as my 9 Pro XL of course, but better than both the ZF 6 and OP Open in my opinion. Also battery life has been stellar with the P9PF just wish it had the crazy quick charging speeds of the OP Open. It really has been a fantastic device.

To be fair iOS is the only thing stopping me going back to iPhone I think. I really like my P9P XL, but it ghets a bit laggy in firefox.
Use Soul browser. I'd never heard of it until earlier in this thread, it is by far my favorite Android browser. I was also an avid Firefox user until I used Soul. Not a single stutter / no lag whatsoever. Also has more security features I think. The built in dark mode actually works well, but I do like Dark Reader for Firefox better as it renders better for some sites in dark mode.

Really unhappy with Google right now.
After praising their return policy I'm currently on the end of an open case and I'm £300 out of pocket.

I bought the Watch 3, plus an extra band which was all part of the same order. When realising I didn't want the watch, I initiated a return via my orders and put both the watch and the band in the jiffy bag and returned.
The email I got last week said they had received my band, but nothing about the watch. I realised that the watch order was separately listed (under same order number, but still had the option to be returned) as I had initiated the return on just the band.
I called Google who said they would speak to warehouse and make them aware this is both items.

A week later (now) I have been refunded for the band, not the watch. Called Google who have been pretty unhelpful. Just told me to reply to the email from last week which was auto-generated after my call to say this was still ongoing and someone would look into it.

I can already see this ending badly. Just have a feeling. I have no way to prove I sent the watch back with it and when I've checked the return label, I thought there were two barcodes for the two items, but it looks like one barcode is the return one and the other is the item itself.

Can only hope they sort this out but I really don't see how as it's almost my word against theirs. And no, I didn't record putting both items into the bag as I didn't think I'd need to for a return.

Different strokes for different folks.

I agree size and form factor is better on the 9 Pro Fold, but that’s where it ends (at least for me). But I personally look at what I can get in terms of the whole package… I’m surprised that Google hasn’t fixed the different layouts on outer vs inner screen (that would annoy me).

IMO, foldables… specifically book-style foldables are geared for productivity… being able to multitasking, take notes… look at some spreadsheets (maybe edit), mark up some documents with a stylus. I think Fold 6 caters to that crowd. And I’m not looking to debate on which is better… both Z Fold 6 and 9 Pro Fold have certain characterstics appeal to their respective crowd.

That's awful and I hope they sort it out for you. I have nearly been caught out by this before myself, no matter how many items you order together you have to return them all individually.

Put that phone money towards a smart watch to wear while training instead. 😜 Watch on the wrist much easier carry than brick in the belt. 😉

No debating it the ZF6 is hands down a more feature packed, capable foldable. The s-pen makes it a more productive device on its own. That said for what I do most of the time the PF is plenty capable and I just prefer the form factor over the other bells and whistles of the ZF6.

The inability to have a different layout between outer and inner screens definitely still irks me. I don't understand why that's such a difficult thing to implement.
