Rather than worry about who's a troll, a faker or a perceived faker, why not put more attention towards establishing your own legitimate credentials?

you do not need credentials to post on here.

the majority of multimedia's posts have been proven accurate and when he is wrong, he is the first to say so. he has also been a helpful and generally positive voice on this forum.

you, on the other hand, keep baiting him and its getting annoying as hell.

lol, well then she probably got ripped off hehehe

i'm sure the salesman put HIS OWN old 17" CD in the box and took the new C2D for himself and so he sold his old 17" CD MBP as a C2D MBP. hehe...

poor old lady.. :(

lol and can you even imagine how he sold her the RAM upgrade?
"Oh Mad'm... i almost forget.. if you're doing digital photography you won't come far with only 1GB of RAM. I could offer you a super fast 'n cheap RAM upgrade of 1GB for only $199!!"

Word, G slice.

Guys what do you think? I purchased this awesome, thin Init laptop bag for my new MBP. It's got bubbles engraved on the outside for extra protection and a microfiber lining in the inside. I really like it but my girlfriend thinks it's too girly for me. What do you think?

I'm not sure what's girly about it.... looks industrial to me if anything.

I agree with Shecky. Multimedia and alot of others have been nothing but nice to me, even answering all my annoying, newbie mac questions. This forum's for everyone, so everyone should just chill out. Aren't we all out of elementary school? Who cares who's right or wrong, such a lame thing to argue about.

Ugh, I really regret getting my 120 gb hd on this new mbp. I'm gonna use that space up so fast..

I Was Writing About Miss Behaving Not The Troll

look at this pic closely, its a hole, not a light. in this pic, you can see it lit up.

and no, it IS to the right, even on the older models.

EDIT: konfabulation replied as i was posting. :)
She also says she had to add another gig of RAM for 2 which is also a false C2D since they all come with 2.

"Begbi, one week old. Purchased new from PowerMax, Portland, OR. 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, added another gig of RAM for 2. 120 GB, running 10.4.8. Ask me if it's sweeeeeeeeeeet. Amen, sista."

So she's a faker. I also see the hole now too. Thanks Shecky.

Hey lady. That post wasn't even about you. We were discussing wiether or not Miss Behaving got ripped off by PowerMax. But you're so vein, you're too busy thinking everything we post is all about you instead of staying on topic.

That has ribs for extra protection. It's hard as well. Its what I ordered with my MBP.

Do macs come with a word proccesor program? I got the free printer form the apple store (after mail in rebate) and I don't wnat to dish out any extra money for Microsoft office. A person told me about Open Office? Anyone have any personal experience with that?

Comes with Text Edit which can be used as a simple word processor. Academic MS Office is only $129.

Open office works very well. Actually I think NeoOffice is a better choice for OSX (open office with Aqua interface). If all you need is word processing this should be fine. Download it and try it out, it is free!

You can try out OpenOffice, it's a free alternative to Microsoft Office.

There is a Mac specific port of OpenOffice called NeoOffice you can download:

http://www.neooffice.org/

But you might find that it is worth just buying Microsoft Office. Your mac should include a 30-day test drive.

Apple also makes a word processor called Pages, a trial of which you should also find on your Mac. You can buy it as part of iWork, which is $99 (or $50 academic I think).

If you're in college your university might offer Office 2004 for dirt cheap. I got my copy for $11.

I'm sure Open Office is great. Here's the link to it. They make a PPC and an Intel version.

nope, it is not. look at the dot to the right of the iSight, the new C2D machines do not have them. she must be trying to pull a fast one. on top of which they were not even announced a week ago, nevermind shipped.

edit: beaten by pal. curses! meddlesome kids! :)

Does that dot even have a function?
