Hey Wayne, when you get a second:

In the changelog for v0.3, you stated that server side of SMB was working while client side was not. Does that mean that files off the Mac will be accessible to PCs, but files from PCs will not be accessable on the Mac? As always, thanks for your time.

So, just to clarify...

I've got a correct DMG of 10.8.0 from my brother in law's Macbook when I was in Colorado. I have no more access to that

I was installing MLPF by installing the 10.8.0 then upgrading with the combo patch from Apple to 10.8.3

On MLPF v3 I will not be able to install in the same way?

DMG is not supported. Only .app file will be supported. If you want to update, install 0.22 first then update it to v0.3. v0.3 will not support update.

Friday 3:30PM UK time. I'm all over it!

yep. picked that date so that it can be a great weekend project :p

Sorry Wayne, I meant the .app I've got that. I know you've said it like 50+ times in this thread lol. :(

That is because it still has the old Firmware and the code is not in Lions approved list. There is a way around that. You delete one file. Let me fine a URL with the instructions and I will post back. I have a 2006 Core Duo Mini with a 2.16 C2D and 2GB RAM and have done this many times. BRB.

Ok the first post here will do it but I just on my mini deleted the support.plist they are talking about and it works great. If you upgrade to a newer point update you will have to go in again and redo either the edit of delete the plist.

Loving the new website! (Of what I can see of it anyway). Looking forward to having both my Mac Pro & MBP running 10.8.4!

MLPFv0.3 is 32-bit only. It works on v0.22, so it should work on v0.3. If it doesn't work. You didn't do something right. To avoid issues and bugs (such as this) only so clean install and not upgrading.

Two questions:

Are all system upgrades (drivers, camera RAW, Airport, etc) alright to perform (and will they be allowed in 0.3) except the 10.8.x upgrades?

I used one internal drive on my Mac Pro 1,1 ML install last night, then Migration assistant. Everything seems to be working fine, I'm amazed! So now I have two partitions. Since the install went smoothly, after all is verified is it safe to clone the result off to an image, erase drive to one partition, then clone back?

Thanks.

Should be no problem. However, if that update causes any issues. Don't post it here. Just want to make it clear that updating is not supported (cuz it will normally cause a ton of problems, like v0.22)

If which update?

After I installed 10.8.3 last night, there were updates available for two printers that I use and for Airport and RAW profiles.

I see from all that's written, that updating the SYSTEM to 10.8.4 is not recommended, that we should always run clean installs for that.

So my question is, do the same warnings apply for drivers, RAW profiles, Airport updates, etc? Can those be updated without problems? ..or are ALL system updates risky? (..and so only Application updates are safe from the MAS..)

thanks, hope this clarifies

I restore the DMG(Lion 10.7) to my usb-hdd, add <string>Mac-F4208EC8</string> in PlatformSupport.plist and boot with this usb-hdd.
Setup is run (without F4208EC8 setup is not run), but when i click to install OS Lion i see message that 10.7 cannot be installed on this computer.
I try to delete PlatformSupport.plist and boot again with usb-hdd, but setup is failed.
Do you have any idea?
