Where did you get your S6? From Apple store? I feel like they wouldn’t stock them. Thanks!!
Originally ordered through apple.com, but canceled when I saw it was available for pickup at local Apple Store! Full details -- and PICS -- at the top of the this page (Msg 3659).

Check store avail early and often ... and if you can get it for pickup: make sure you get that orange Hermès shopping bag!!!

LOS ANGELES BABY!!

your lucky. In Los Angeles all the Apple stores are closed so I have to wait for my shipment and because of covid I wouldn’t be able to pick it up anyways. Hermes website said they are available after 9/19 for preorder but won’t ship until early October. My Series 6 44mm SBSS Noir is shipping 9/30 to 10/7- still hoping for early delivery ?

today when it arrives I get to stare at my Noir deployment clasp ?

This one looks closer to it. Point being that without the band, there is little reason to pay for a Hermès watch face.

With that being said, I own the S5 Hermès and have and S6 on the way as I also love the watch faces. But in your case of selling your S4, it lost the main reason for its value when you got rid of the band and box that everything came in.

That looks good indeed, is there a better font option that looks like the Hermes watchface I’m using or is the one in the photo you posted the closest to my Hermes watcface?
I don’t buy the argument between the series 4 and series 5 because they were nearly indentical except for the always on display which I personally could care less about and is the reason I skipped the series 5, the series 6 however is an excellent upgrade with the new health sensor

AOD seems very polarising, and I’m always personally surprised when someone who has an S5 turns it off because I’m very much in the ”it was a game changer“ camp. I’m less surprised when someone who hasn’t tried it says they don’t value it and, with respect, the opinion of someone who hasn’t tried something is always going to be less dependable than that of someone who has.

In your situation however, when you say you love the Hermes watch faces (as I do), and that you only buy the Watch for the face and don’t value the leather band (which I value even more than the faces). I just don’t get why you don’t see having that face visible all the time is a bonus.

I’m not trying to change your mind and your view is just as valid as mine (though you might change it once you try AOD), but don’t you think it would be better to see the face you love so much any time you look at the Watch, not only when you raise your wrist?

For me, I’ve bought two pre-S5 Hermes Watches for the leather band and sold them on with just the orange band as I’d rather use a non-Hermes S5 - and one I bought was an S4 that I literally only used for sleep tracking while I had it because the lovely display turns off.

Lastly, for clarity, I’d have an S6 Hermes on its way to me right now if there was any way to actually get one where I live, so I’m not cheaping out with the standard S5. I bought a Hermes S5 as a birthday gift for my wife earlier this year, but the end cost was close to 50% more than the RRP by the time I paid sales tax in two countries, shipping and a thank-you gift to the person who on-shipped it for me. It also took weeks and depended on calling in a larger favour than I am comfortable to do again. With the current international travel restrictions my intention to go to Australia around now and pick one up there isn’t possible.

Perhaps more on-point to your comment than I realised when I started my response I’m now looking for a good used S5 with European LTE hardware as that’s easier for me to source - and I’m not even slightly interested in an S4 because it doesn’t have AOD.

I simply prefer my Apple watch’s screen to be off when I don’t need to check the time. Don’t need to see the watchface at all times.

It was either start shaving my arms regularly or get the Hermes, feel better going with the Hermes ?. Will be picking it up at Apple Fifth Ave this afternoon ?
which one did you get and pics?

I've been stalking the apple stores nearby even though I told myself I wasn't going to get a Hermes watch (I usually end up convincing myself to get a leather or enamel bracelet instead, slightly cheaper to a lot cheaper depending on if it's the og cdc or Kelly dt) but I really love the slimness of attalage...though I also like the look of the double tour it was just too chunky for me...have been trying to convince myself it's ok since s5's noir with black SS...

I'm not planning on resell so it's ok. I just don't know how long I can have the watch for until I feel I need to upgrade.

I think it was a bit convoluted to get the S2 in NZ. Back then I had a SS S0 and the S2 didn’t tempt me to upgrade so I only half paid attention to it. When I bought the used one a couple of weeks ago the seller said he got it in Sydney, but the box had the NZ designation on it.

Aus and NZ Watches are the same as European ones - I’m pretty sure there are only two Watch models (in terms of radios, though the 5GHz S6 may have more because of WiFi differences), but even between Aus and NZ the boxes are marked differently (I think - the NZ ones don’t mention Aus as I recall - I’ll check my wife’s Aus Hermes later if I remember).

I haven’t checked if anywhere else gets the same treatment, but I imagine there will be others. NZ got the S0 a couple of months after the launch countries, but when we did it included the original S0 Edition in real gold that cost NZ$24,000 or so IIRC.

True, we did have the S0 Edition which were crazy expensive. Oh well, one day maybe next year with the S7... Just really odd to me as to why Apple don't want to sell the Edition models in NZ.

They haven’t even sold me Sport Bands yet. I ordered eight on Wednesday morning and they haven’t even taken payment.

I just joined the club! This leather is quality!!!

I just posted my video of the Apple Watch Series 6 Hermes Space Black vs Graphite Stainless Steel. Something I put together quick, I'll be doing a more in depth review of the Hermes soon. Enjoy, let me know if you have questions!

Which one did you get? I have ordered the S6 Nike SG with Purple Pulse Loop last night. I am planning to sell the band as I don't need it.

Sad to see they did away with the suede watch protector. For a premium watch, that seems cheap.

Thanks for the video!

Probably not the right thread to discuss it, but all the new Sport Bands and Nike Sport Bands, plus a duplicate Cyprus Green Band. Beteeen us my wife and I have all the Nike Bands and we’re only a couple away from all the Sport Bands.

That’s what I’m doing, I do like blood oxygen sensor on the S6 but taking a drastic loss on the series 4 Hermes 44mm I currently have doesn’t make sense so I think I’ll keep it for another year

I wouldn't worry about the Blood Oxygen sensor. Its just a party trick and it isn't giving any actual useful data.

Espo:

This is my first Hermès watch; so take this reply as one from a complete noob!

Having said that: the Watch app on my iPhone IMPLIES that there are special faces based on the color of the Hermès watch itself, not necessarily the band. On my SBSS S6, I see special "Noir" faces. I do, however, also see Hermès faces where you can select certain colors ... such as "Bambou" to match the color of the Bambou band.

As far as stock AT Hermès, you'd probably have to call the individual boutique. I DID see a post from someone who has an AW shipping from hermes.com.
Yes, only the Space Black Hermès models have the Noir faces.
