How is the new AOD brightness? The light seems unfair to judge from here
Yeh the new Hermès face is muted and dark so can’t tell from those pics above.
I’ve taken another pic with a full coloured white face.
It definitely feels brighter than S5 and I have it set to medium.
Someone on the Apple Watch subreddit posted a side by side of the S5 AOD vs S6 AOD in direct sunlight. Unfortunately, there was not much of a difference, which was surprising because Apple claims something like 2.5x brighter for the AOD in sunlight for the S6.
They also used one the least colorful faces so I'm sure that didn't help.
I think so. But most of the faces on AOD mode is usually just a black background with minimal details so it's hard to really tell.

I expected the AOD brightness to be higher. It is quite dim, but I can see the dials. My previous watch was a series 4, so I can't compare to the S5.

Of all the things I might want to change about the S5 I have to say AOD brightness isn’t one of them. I haven’t seen an S6 IRL so I might not know I wanted it until I do, but that was (just another) meh upgrade to me.

Damn, I may need to get a Hermes for this band alone, my favorite shade of Green.
Yep, ordered the exact same for me and a double tour for my girlfriend at the same time, both initially the same delivery day. Double tour arrived on the 18th no problem and now Sept 30-Oct 5th for the SBSS Noir. No explanation for the change but here I wait along with you.
