Can someone explain the AppleCare+ for an Hermès watch to me? Says $4.99/month or $149 for 24 months of coverage. If I pay monthly over 24 months it’s $30 cheaper then paying in full. Is that right? Thanks in advance

From what I understand, the AppleCare+ for Hermes is 36 months of coverage, not 24, at least in the US. So paying monthly for 36 months would be $180, vs $150 up front. Advantage of paying monthly is that you can continue the coverage past 36 months if you want.

Ahh, my Hermès that I ordered on 18 Sep just crossed my doorstep, six days earlier than promised.

Very happy with this. But now I find myself needing to buy more Hermès bands! Four is not enough!

I vaguely remember reading from some members saying that Apple gives you the option to continue on a month to month basis after the contract ends.

the Hermès Watch comes with a two year warranty and not the standard one year on other Apple watches. I sell my Hermès watch every year so I don’t purchase Apple care.

Resistance is futile as they say. This thread is truly a drug. I can't just browse the internet without stopping by to see what beautiful band or watch face someone is sharing. One day, I say...might come sooner than expected.

Sold my S5 Hermes on eBay for $799 but I did not include the leather band. AppleCare+ was included.

If you sell on eBay and are new to it, just lock down who can buy your stuff in your profile settings. Don't allow anyone with no transcation history to place bids etc. Block people who message you asking to complete the purchase outside of ebay.

The buyer probably wants all the Hermes boxes etc.? I usually keep all that anyway.

Hi. Nope still has not budged. Says processing. Wednesday is the last day of my delivery commitment window. Apple insists it will be delivered. So let’s see if that happens. In the meantime I may be buying the watch from a friend who lives in Newport Beach. He was able to get the SBSS 44mm Noir single tour at the Hermès Store at South Coast Plaza and he hasn’t opened it yet and doesn’t really want the space black anymore. He just bought the SS 44mm Navy Swift. So he will sell the SBSS to me for what he paid for it and I’ll pay him $25 to ship it to me. Which is fair.

I haven’t decided yet as I am still hoping apple will ship mine. If I end up with two of them, I’ll sell the 2nd one to a forum member. Because I would hate for someone to have to wait like I did. So I might as well sell it. I don’t gouge people and am always fair in my pricing. It is such a demand item I would rather someone get what they want and enjoy it without having to go through 3 weeks of waiting from apple.

I am giving it until this Tuesday night and then I will decide to buy his. I learned my lesson and next year I will not sell my series 6 before I get the new one.

because I decided to wait until Tuesday to see if it will ship since my friend is out of town anyways. If apple delivers it I would have it faster than he can ship it since he’s out of town for business for 2 more weeks.

Yep, I gave over everything but the leather band. Boxes, wrappers, charger all went to the buyer. eBay allows to you post 12 pictures for free. Make sure to include all 12 pictures as this really helps the buyer understand the condition and all the items they’re receiving.

My sport band was slightly used. You couldn’t really tell it had been used and there was no staining.

Yes! It has been trying and I would like nothing more than to close it out and post pictures of my new Hermès watch with my new Noir deployment clasp. It’s the first time that this has happened in the 4 years I have been ordering the Hermès Apple watches. I did order right after the event ended. Yet my friend was just able to walk into the South Coast Plaza Hermes store and pick up the watch like any other item. But yet here in Los Angeles they don’t have any of them at all as I called the boutiques in Beverly Hills. No availability for pick up at any of the Apple stores out here either. So kind of makes you wonder where the delay is happening, via Apple’s side of manufacturing the watch or is it Hermes.

What makes it more frustrating is when you see people that are ordering the same watch who live in different parts of California or different parts of the country getting their watches with some even being delivered earlier than their expected commitment times, and yours is still sitting there processing for almost 3 weeks. I hope this is not an indication of how the new iPhone 12 pro max launch will go with their delivery schedule. But again as with everything in life there is a lesson to be learned and next year I will not sell my watch before I get my new one!!!! ?

I haven’t paid anything for this watch because it doesn’t get billed until it shipped so there’s no full refund to be had here. They don’t bill you until the item is actually shipped which as we all know from my posts it has not

That's all just frustrating. I could see the SBSS being highly in demand as a new thing, but this is something Apple is (or should be) good at predicting. You'd think preorders would get priority over units destined to go fill stock orders.

For what it's worth, the only area Apple Store near me that carries Hermes doesn't have them either. Hermes sells them online through their own website but there isn't any up front shipping date given.

Don't worry, it's not just you. I was able to log into my account but clicking on Orders returns a "Something went wrong, There was a problem with your request, please try again later." Probably just a temporary issue.

I wake up about 745am to a text that my order fricken shipped!!!

I haven’t been able to access order status since 10pm pst last night.

so if anyone is looking for a Hermes 44mm SBSS Noir single tour brand new in box, PM me. Will sell for what I paid, you pay shipping. not a trying to rip anyone off or make a buck. what a mess. I check apples order status a zillion times a day. Then when I finally decide to get the one my friend bought because he said his brother could deliver it this morning. This had never been opened everything was sealed with her Hermès bow on it; Apple goes straight from processing last night when I went to see fell sleep probably around 930pm, to Hi you can’t check your order status for the next seven hours and then all of a sudden I get a text message and an email saying it was shipped!!!!

Before anybody tries to slam me and say oh this is not the truth, I just obviously have bad timing. if I was trying to make a buck on somebody by selling the one that’s coming Tuesday I certainly wouldn’t be charging what I paid for it so please do not throw any negative comments my way this is just a situation of supply and demand and at least I was able to get the watch from somebody else and try and do the right thing and cancel my order. I haven’t been able to since last night and when I try and call or chat Apple it’s like a 25-30 minute hold and I got cut off and the Apple text chat feature is not available.

at least maybe I can help somebody else.
