I have noticed it is tricky. The trick for me is to pull the tongue away from the support straps (towards you) almost parallel to the wrist.I love the jumping bands. However, on several occasions, I had considerable difficulty getting the band off. I could not get the prong out of the hole. I had to ask my husband to remove the watch. Not a good situation.
Has anyone else had this issue? Do you end up wearing the band looser?
@Howard2k i don’t see this as a doctor issue. I tried the sport loop and it left marks on the underside of my wrist. It also left a slight skin rash. Interesting, I so far do not have issues with the Hermes jumping band. I also had similar issues with thec with the Apple leather link, but not with the Hermes leather bands. I also found the leather link difficult to fasten at times. You have a hand issue if I understand correctly? And that hand issue is what is causing the problem with the strap? It's not that you don't understand how to undo the strap, you just cannot get it undone?
If it's the former - there may be youtube videos showing the best way to remove the strap but they're pretty simple mechanical devices.
If it's the latter then maybe your doctor can suggest alternate mechanisms that might be less tricky?
What about a fabric loop?
Today is my fourth time wearing my bought-sealed Spring22 Jumping band, and I’m with you, maximum effort trying to get it off. Hoping the warm weather will loosen it up and maybe help wear down the crispy edges.@Howard2k i don’t see this as a doctor issue. At some point in time, I would like to visit Hermes and see how I do with the deployment band, but that still leaves open a good alternative for the hot humid summer days in NYC, when I might be concerned about wearing the leather band.
Does anyone wear the leather band in the summer when it is hot and humid?
I also tried the Apple Link Bracelet, but find the clasp hard to manage.
Being born with CP and vision in one eye, presents “band challenges” to say the least.
@athousandbands. For me the tighter I make the band, the more difficult it becomes to get off. Would I be better to do one hole looser?Today is my fourth time wearing my bought-sealed Spring22 Jumping band, and I’m with you, maximum effort trying to get it off. Not feeling much difference based on hole used.@athousandbands which Jumping Bands do you have? I have three. The black/ grey, black/saphir blu and the light blue/lighter green. Two are 2022 bands. One is 2021. I also have three of the Hermes single tour leather bands. Since this is my first Hermes Apple Watch, I think that is enough for now. Storage will become an issue. Right now I have all the Hermes boxes in my nightstand drawer. If I purchased more bands, storage will become a significant issue. Prior to getting the Hermes Watch in mid April, I had a SS S7 AW. Gifted that to a close friend.
@athousandbands i find the spring 2022 less rough than my one spring 2021.Not feeling much difference based on hole used.
I have three jumping with Kraft/Lime (pre-heavily-worn though) arriving in two days. I can’t really chime in on the apparent revision for Spring 2022, or if it came in Fall 2021. Kraft/Lime will be my first series 7 45mm Jumping.
I have nothing to compare my Spring 2022 to, as it is 41mm.
I got my 44mm Rouge H Jumping brand new sealed and don’t remember it being so so stiff and experiencing a huge breaking in. And I don’t think my open box 44mm Saph/Orange was very used.
Yeah that seems to be the consensus but I’ve never had a noticeable experience until i unboxed the Gris Clair and felt the scratchy scratchy…I mean it could be down to just variances in finishing. Manufacturing tolerances for the edge bit of yarn or the waxey seal that will sand itself down might not matter too much in Paris. We’ll see what this Lime is like.@athousandbands i find the spring 2022 less rough than my one spring 2021.
The only serial you need is your watch’s. Or skip that and just start the support ticket from the support app, selecting the Watch. So I just bought this watch and a little concerned. It’s a series 7 45mm Hermes edition. With the deployment strap and the sport band. Serial number checks out with Apple as the Hermes edition but the seller didn’t have any of the boxes etc.. pretty sure you can’t fake the watch and warranty aspect.. but are these bands genuine. Orange one appears to have the serial number on the middle button but the leather one does not. D ID 250 underneath OP.. both sides say made for Apple Watch on the leather one.
Orange one the markings on the band part are barely visible.
I only paid a little over 800 for it… got lucky and Mercari had a promotion code where they paid 20%.
2. The watch was bought in October but some places on the internet say you can still add Apple care after 60 days but a tech needs to inspect it… Anyone had success doing that?
Both bands seem really nice and well made so it would be blow if fake, but I figure I paid roughly the same price as a series 7 stainless and have an extra 6 months warranty and of course the HERMES faces.
So I seen many posts since I have a valid serial number I can at least buy the black and orange Hermes bands.. BUT I’m looking at small series 1 Hermes. Which based on my research didn’t come with the sport bands… but will Apple allow it since it’s a valid Hermes serial number?
Thanks
Thank you!I haven't been in the thread much so just catching up on the last few pages...
I brought 4 bands into the Hermes store in Sydney Australia in December last year and they had no issues punching an extra in each of those for me.
1. Sport band.
I wear my leather band when I go into the office (which isn't often anymore) but I feel more professional when I wear it haha
The patina on that looks AMAZING!
I’m a shopaholic as well :/ I get tired of using the same bag day after day so I have a few I can select from. With technology I tend to be more loyal lolHahaha. My biggest worry is I'm a shopaholic and I get tired of things easily. I worry that I won't want to wear my Hermes AW, after the pandemic and will resort to classic watches and jewelry to go with fashion.
It shouldn’t be hard. I believe the jumping bands use the same clasps as the leather bands that are attached via a traditional spring bar. So it should be possible to swap it for a deployment clasp.I may have to try a crazy Hermes science project and see what it would mean to attach a Deployment to the Jumping style band. I'll provide pictures if I have time to try this in the coming week.
What is meant by a spring bar? I am new to Hermes and don’t understand the buckle. It shouldn’t be hard. I believe the jumping bands use the same clasps as the leather bands that are attached via a traditional spring bar. So it should be possible to swap it for a deployment clasp.

Lots of points here, answer to all is…no?Thank you and yes never thought I could justify the additional cost over just stainless no matter how amazing the Hermes exclusive faces looked.
First of all in the last week or so I’ve been literally reading almost all 335 pages do thanks to all of you who have helped me without knowing…
Being an IT person I certainly understand the rapid advancement in technology… BUT exactly how much can you really put on your wrist and be usable and as easy and efficient as other devices? Since screen real estate is limited along with entry..
So although I understand why some may upgrade yearly especially in these early years I think year to year improvements will start slowing dramatically. Truthfully at some point just like many luxury items very little changes year to year however they do typically introduce special limited editions.
SO LAST night I came up with what I think maybe HUGE to the Hermes editions.
Although many of us buy them for the well made straps or the exclusive faces. I’m sure plenty of people on the FENCE said why would I pay 5 times more for something that doesn’t look that different. After all luxury items are about the quality and the exclusivity but to many people it’s also about others knowing you have something nicer and they want it too..
Apple and HERME have never really accomplished that. They are trying to with the space black being exclusive.. but truthfully YOU can’t glance at a band and say it’s the HERMES EDITION Watch since anyone can buy the bands or a knockoff.. Can’t exactly remove your watch and place it face down so someone can see the single identifying mark. Also why the ceramic one was a status symbol instantly you knew..
NO IDEA how two companies as big as HERMES and Apple with all those employees didn’t think of this less than 5 buck solution that even when the Watch is so off tells People it’s HERMES edition. So simple it could be introduced with the series 8.
Replace the standard crown with a HERMES Orange color raised H on top. Black background so it stands out and Hermes orange sides..
Should be easy to spot yet not over the top
LET Tim and Axel know just give me a new Hermes Apple Watch every year and 1 of every band as they come out. NEW iPhone every year a BIRKIN bag every year so I have gifts forever.. Yeah and a Bugatti Hermes edition.
Yeah, no. Hermès isn't about gaudiness and standing out. Most people buy the Apple Watch Hermès because they like the watch face and/or bands, not so they can go around saying LOOK AT MY AIR-MES WATCH. If that's what you're looking for, then the Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon Light Up Connected Watch is right down your alley.Thank you and yes never thought I could justify the additional cost over just stainless no matter how amazing the Hermes exclusive faces looked.

I mean when mama in Morning Show had SBSS+Noir it was instantly recognizable, yet so understated and tres chic. And to say a luxury item could be confused with a knock-off from whatever distance…yeah, of course, that’s why knock-offs sell so well.Yeah, no. Hermès isn't about gaudiness and standing out.
