Everyone beware of this seller, if the items are still up when you see this, take a good look at all the markings, which are pretty darn fake:

Great that you are alerting us. I would think there is always a risk of buying used. I will only buy from Apple or Hermes. For me, the anxiety of wondering if something is genuine is not worth it.

Yikes. Is this the first time we have seen someone fake the Made for Apple Watch markings on the lugs? That’s usually one of my go-tos for confirming a band is genuine. The band is definitely fake on close inspection. But it is one of the better fakes I have seen. Certainly good enough to pass a cursory flip through the pictures on a site like eBay.

Kind of scary honestly. You don’t often see scammers going to that much effort. I guess Hermes bands are high dollar enough to be worth it. Nobody goes to those lengths to fake a sport loop! ?

Unless someone is looking for a discontinued color, the price of the band on eBay is close enough to the full retail, that I wonder why not just purchase from Apple or Hermes?

It does seem like Etoupe and Fauve regular are EOL but yes sadly there’s no competence exam for Scam University.

Also in my experience they will accept an absurdly low offer.

I could not distinguish real from fake. Regarding price, if it is too good to be true…

Interesting discussion regarding this Ebay item. To me it looks like genuine. What does this band identify as fake?

There are a lot of unmarked "Hermès" Bands on Ebay, showing stolen original pictures at 9.95$, so you know, you are not getting the real thing if you buy this - keep away then .

But in this case? Please enlighten us, dear experts. :)
Just curious....

Fake then real for the two examples, pulled from the nearest eBay listing (which you can do at home) and the MFW inscription is not exclusive to Hermes bands and looks super off. The stitching also looks bad but sometimes I clock authentic stitching wrong.

Also the seller has no history, which is common to a recent trend of people stealing photos of the entire watch kit and listing for too good to be true pricing. The fact that the underside embossing isn’t even trying to be the proper sans-serif typeface makes me think these are TaoBao bands that aren’t trying to pass themselves off as 1:1 replica/fakes.

Used or open box or new secondhand Hermes are an incredible deal and no one should be hesitant to take advantage of the deals:

Thanks athousandbands. The engraving is the most obvious to me. Just compared with the genuine one I got with my watch. Nevertheless, it is a quite good fake. Stay away from online offers for me then...

It’s OEM?
Yeah I just ordered from this seller, luckily it was actually open box. Lots of used bands being passed off as new and most at or above retail. Rallye are stupid rare, though, and $450 msrp and there is an offer button…

Also Gala (waxy) leather is so fun and different.

Question. My wrist sweats during the warm weather. Even with low humidity.

Should I be wearing my jumping bands, instead of the leather, during warm months?

they took the trouble to invent the character and identification numbers
Other

serial number for both of them

B S4 268 DA o_O

these are ok, they are used, maybe 5 times, but they are all used. Rallye that are rare to see if he makes them pay, rightly so

Somehow the Biscuit i ordered looks brand new and was priced below retail. Hopefully it arrives as pictured. My first Circuit!

The Rallyes are in fine shape, I just hate misuse of the term “open box.” But also i managed to procure a mint noir sbss rallye for someone for half retail. Built different #yoink

Are the spring 2022 jumping straps longer? I just bought one and i needed to use one hole tighter. Hmm, maybe it’s not longer but that the locations of the holes are such that i needed to use a tighter hole. The jumping straps are softer than the old jumping.
I finally did some side by side comparisons and they’re the same length but the thickness of the glazing where it loops around the lugs varies and that’s what makes some fit more snug than others on the same hole.

I have marked where it shows that it has been used. from the hole it is possible to be used no more than 5 times, but I repeat the condition of the strap is used (it can be noted that the inner leather is not smooth but with folds and this indicates that it has been used)

I got the 45mm, what do you think? There is a black dot on the buckle band near the lug.

I don’t think I’d have been able to identify the fake at all.

this is new, the spot may be a small spot. perhaps due to the carelessness of the seller who does not use the dustproof box.
but we are always there, and I would say as always, they are delicate and when you are not wearing it you immediately insert it in its dustproof box. if it gets wet because you wash your hands you dry it immediately, in the summer when it gets too hot and sweat you can use it but immediately put it in its dustproof box. this avoids having wrist-shaped straps worn out after 12 months of use and unsellable for me.
we could then also speak of the excessive tightening of the strap in a "cotechino" way that ruins the side part to the amazement of the user ....

Yes I’ve already told Bambou it’s getting a bunk partner in my alphabetic towers of the orange boxes. I can live with a little black speck. My arm hairs do that to many a sport band.
