It seems on S6 it isn’t a problem. S7 and S8 we can’t find an example of anyone who ordered one, especially recently.

Anyone else here got the Ultra and can't decide between Ultra and S7? or keep both? I've moved my cellular plan to the Ultra, and I will be using it for a few days to help me decide. So far I've noticed that the complications in the new Ultra faces are small and aren't easy to read because the font size is also small in the complication. I have Dynamic Type on maximum. The good thing is the Ultra is not as thick or as big or as heavy as I thought it would be. If I keep the Ultra, I will miss Lucky Horse.
If you have decided to keep both, which AW will you have the cellular on? I guess if I keep both AWs, I will keep cellular on the Ultra because I would more likely exercise/work out while wearing the Ultra with no iPhone.
Complicating matters
even though I have all SSS lug straps, I'm now intrigued by the Darth Vader SBSS S8 Hermés . . . if I ordered it now I probably won't get it until December, so maybe next year I'll order the SBSS, but then again Apple Hermés may decide to discontinue the SBSS.

I would absolutely keep both. The Hermès Watch especially complements the Ultra like no other. You would have both the most feature rich and rugged Watch as well as the most elegant (by far) Watch. Two totally different use cases, I think.
Why not cellular on both? That‘s what I would do (and have done in the past).
I am in that same situation. Only considering keeping my Hermes Series 7, as my favorite watch face is a Hermes one. I know, that sounds stupid, but I really like the AW Hermes face I have been using the last year and nothing else really compares to it. I’ve also been on the fence on keeping the S8 Hermès, getting the Ultra, or keeping both. I ordered my S8 SB Hermès on Sept 7 and it’s preparing to ship now. But I went to try on the Ultra last weekend, and I really like it! Definitely would be best of both worlds.
Here’s the Ultra next to my 45mm S7. It looks so much bigger next to the S7 but not bad on its own:
Great shots that show that these are indeed very different devices. It‘s like having work boots as well as a fine pair of leather shoes. Best of both worlds.

My prediction next year… 50mm Ultra, smaller bezels, and additional colours.
It’s tough for me because I work an office job, but love to do outdoors stuff on my free time and weekends 🤷♂️
You have two cellular plans or it's very easy to switch back and forth?
I don't use cellular that often, it's more of cool convenient thing that's available, and it has bailed me out when I left the house without my phone and I know I don't have to turn around and get it. What are some of your use cases, maybe I missing opportunities to use cellular? During the summer I often leave the phone in the car while doing errands.
Right now I have cellular only on one Watch because that‘s the only one I wear day-to-day. Back in the S5 era, I couldn’t decide between silver and gold Stainless Steel so I got both and wore them equally often. Two cellular plans as switching the plan from one Watch to the other goes through the carrier and is not something you want to do every other day.
Use cases as you describe, just being able to leave the phone behind when running short errands or in the summer when modern phones are quite bulky in short trousers. Also running / workout is much more convenient without a phone but with the cellular Watch you‘re still connected (and can stream music to AirPods). Safety implications as well as there have been numerous stories where people in accidents weren‘t able to use their phones anymore and the Watch saved the day.
Cellular is completely broken for me when I use it with more than one watch. It often shows that no plan is available (although I pay for them) and I haven't found a way to fix that
Really? Never had a problem with that back then. Which carrier are you on? I was (and still am) with T-Mobile.
I’d love smaller bezels and slightly more day to day durability (maybe ceramic again?). I love the Ceramic watch and that’s the main reason I left Hermes back in the Series 5 days. I’ll say this though the durability of the SS watches have been amazing for me. No major dings, dents, or scratches and never had an issue on any of the sapphire crystals in 8+ years (knock on wood)

Hi- no not on mine. I would send hers back. Mine are not sharp at all.
It still bugs me that Apple won't update the Hermès watch face to take it to the edge of the screen. So much screen real estate is wasted with that watch face. Its still my favorite, but I wish it was properly updated for the 45mm watches. Maybe its a design decision, but it would look way better in my opinion if it was updated.
But if Hermès want it small (and dim in always-on), who are we to argue with the gods of style and fashion, right? 🙄
I just got my Gold Swift leather single tour band. I love it.
Here is in this picture I’m comparing it to the Fauve Barenia Leather Deployment Buckle from my Series 4.
In my opinion, the patina of the Barenia leather , makes it look too shiny and therefore a bit dirty. It also gets darker with time, and develops stains.
While I think Swift leather conserves the color a way better, and it looks clean, which I prefer.

Great pics. Swift is a nice leather (easy to care for), but Fauve Barenia is amazing!!
It’s one of my all time favorite Hermes leathers - love the way it darkens and patinas over time, but you need to be careful with it. Enjoy!

I’m in the same boat. But if I had to keep one I would keep the Hermes. It actually has unique watch faces and you are already used to charging it every day. I really love both watches though. I wish the Hermes faces were on the ultra. Then the choice would be easy. I also feel that next year apple will redesign the series Apple Watches to have flat sides and larger screens.
