Anyone know how the bambou will patina? Grabbed one recently
I don’t think the swift ones really will. The dye is pretty heavy on them and doesn’t seem to allow much to adhere.Anyone know how the bambou will patina? Grabbed one recently
I am upgrading from 8 to 9. I think this year’s upgrade while not significant, is still one of the more major ones? Comparing like from 7 to 8 which was really nothing…Can't wait to see the pics of the new apple watch hermes bands. I hope I can go try them on the hermes store or the Apple Store to see if I like them.
Also, are you guys upgrading to the serios 9? I have the series 8. The only benefits I see is:
1. Better brightness which is a nice to have, but I think it only works outdoors.
2. The double tap gestures, this is interesting and could be useful.
3. Better processor (25-30% faster), but I think this won't be noticiable.
So I don't know if I should or not.
Can't wait to see the comparisons videos.
I collect Hermes watch bands, mostly leather, and initially really didn’t like the new collection. But the rubber one is growing on me, and I’ve ordered the Series 9 with the black rubber! Think it could be my daily band.
I know what you mean.Slowly coming around on the Radial face. I really enjoy the Cape Cod font and the date complication. But the decision to use an Apple complication in the middle is…unfortunate. The issue is that most of the Apple complications use a grey background and are designed for functionality rather than aesthetics. So they just don’t look like they belong. I think Solar is one of the better choices I have found so far.
Yeah using Shortcuts to change watch faces is a really underutilized feature. World clock is another good choice for this face. I wish it had the text without the dark grey circular background though.I know what you mean.
I have settled on World Time during the day as I am UK based but work 100% with American colleagues on EST. I get it to change via a shortcut after work to activity.

EDIT: Just seen your Jumping...I'm going to swap mine over to that now lol I love it and been wearing the Kraft/Orange all summer now.
I went through the same thing last year, but finally went with the Ultra. I typically do the Hermes every year, but I probably wasted a lot of money doing that bc the watch itself does not hold it’s value. For me it came down to a few things:Having a hard time deciding between Hermes or Ultra2, on one hand the ultra2 has the better battery life and nice new design but it is a bit too big for my wrist, on the other hand the silver steel on the Hermes looks soooo good. (And no, I can’t afford them both 🤣). Don’t have any Apple Watch in the past but had SSS7 in the past.
If I have to choose between one, I’ll still choose the Hermes. I had both, and I just sold the Ultra.Having a hard time deciding between Hermes or Ultra2, on one hand the ultra2 has the better battery life and nice new design but it is a bit too big for my wrist, on the other hand the silver steel on the Hermes looks soooo good. Love it! I got my first Hermes watch Series 8 last year because I loved the Lucky Horse face. Unfortunately my wrist is too small to wear one of the Hermes bands, but the Apple leather link bands in Umber and Ink look nice with it.View attachment 2261263
My first ever Hermes Apple Watch - proud owner of many Hermes straps really wanted the horse watch face to pair with the orange double tours, can’t wait!
It’s still an Apple Watch though the bands are nicer. For versatility, I use an Omega, Rolex, or Patek depending on the type of event. If I have to choose between one, I’ll still choose the Hermes. I had both, and I just sold the Ultra.
The Hermes could do everything I needed to do, and the Ultra didn’t help me accomplish more.
But I needed Hermes for that versatility in style, that I could wear it for sports or casual, and dress it for formal dinners when I needed to. It even goes well with suit (I use the Noir deployment buckle for black suits).

I wish haha 😂. But I don’t typically use an Apple watch for formal events. Something about a regular timepiece that does it for me. Love my Apple Watch though!Oh you are RICH RICH
Bruh you have a Rolex, Omega and Patek? Ain't no one having a Patek working a regular 9to5 😂I wish haha 😂. But I don’t typically use an Apple watch for formal events. Something about a regular timepiece that does it for me. Love my Apple Watch though!
Not to derail the thread, but there are great deals on pre-owned Rolex’s. Omega’s are a nice starter watch. The Patek well that one I needed to save for.Bruh you have a Rolex, Omega and Patek? Ain't no one having a Patek and having a regular 9to5 😂
I wish I could give up my fixation with the Messages complication and use the moon, like mentioned upthread. The timer complication works well with the aesthetic of the Hermes Radial face.

Were hoping this fellow:Does anyone know an ebay listing where apple employees would flip the heavily discounted bands?
The notification dot is driving me insane still!
On past Hermès watch faces, the dot would be above and push down the numeral 12 which I think I prefer.
