Hermès Edition Owners Thread

I have a dilemma and need some advice please. I have preordered the 45mm SBSS with the orange Kilim band through Apple. Now as my wrists are small, I unfortunately won't be able to wear any of the Hermes bands and not being Leather, Hermes can't put in extra holes.

I thought about buying direct from Hermes with a leather band when I head down to Sydney in 3 weeks and cancel my Apple order. Not sure if I should cancel my order from Apple as I don't know if Hermes in Sydney will have stock? Unfortunately Hermes here on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane don't stock anything apple :(

I could just buy an extra band from Hermes and sell the Kilim band unused but trying to sell Hermes products is extremely difficult here on the Gold Coast.

I don't know what to do :(

Why not get the 41mm?

I ended up cancelling the 45mm orange Kilim and got the 41mm navy Kilim instead.

Will keep the S7 45mm as well and change between the two.

Regarding stock in Hermès Sydney. There’s no guarantee they’ll have all the new bands on Day 1 and maybe not all colours but they will definitely have the new series on display and have stock.

Love this time of year! lol.

I really love the 45mm so I do want to stick with that. I sold my 41mm Series 7 Hermes a while ago and only just recently sold the last band I had for it, took nearly a year! They are sooooooo hard to sell :(

As you are in Sydney, what do you think the chances are of the Hermes store having stock?

ETA for my delivery from Apple is 27th Sept (hoping it will come on Friday) and now ETA for new orders is next month so if I cancel it it is going to be a wait.

I edited my comment as you replied but Hermès in Sydney will definitely have stock. Depends on which particular band you want though.

I love all the new nylon/rubber bands that Apple sell but Hermès will most likely not punch holes into those material for us. That’s why I went with the 41mm.

Thanks! Now to decide if I cancel my Apple order or not and take the risk.

Have you checked Buyee.jp and the Yahoo auction site? They have lots of good quality second hand Hermès bands and I’ve seen the gourmette in there at almost half the RRP. Not sure if it’s 45mm though

This little H detail is absolutely adorable. I didn’t notice it on the jumping band I have. I only saw it after one of the descriptions made a subtle reference to it.

I love that new face too - I know some on here don’t, but I love it - especially with the Activity complication. To me it brings together a distinctive Hermes look in the face, with a subtle bit of Apple thrown in with the rings. My goto Hermes face atm.

I’m looking forward to a photo from the perspective of the wearer. I didn’t understand the Medor until I put it on and the interval from Watch to stud to buckle was just right.

Also: all those stitches look the same and identical to every other band, right? Ergo saddle stitching all around?

I would also like to see pictures.

As mentioned, SB is quite weak in bands. Does someone wear a SB watch with silver connectors? A picture would be great.

Would y’all recommend an Hermes Leather band if I sweat quite a bit when wearing an Apple Watch? Doesn’t matter if cold or hot outside, after a few hours there will be sweat under the band 😅

I wouldn’t recommend it. It will stain the leather and ruin the band.
