So let’s do some math on the rubber bands (Kilim)
Band collector math 😂 This makes me feel a little better about spending so much on two rubber bands.

I think I could've bought a SBSS Hermes S7/S8 by now with the watches I've bought and sold, but I'll continue to live vicariously through the photos in the thread for the time being.

I'm not a fashion person but always liked the classic look of the Hermes leather bands, and the new non-leather options have definitely grown on me.

Kaki Kilim coming tomorrow. Couldn’t resist and didn’t feel like waiting until the end of the month for Apple. Will post pics!
So I purchased the Series 9 with Orange Kilim and after a few days I am undecided.

I wasnt impressed with the rubber of the Kilim. After reading everyone rave about the quality on this thread I had to try it for myself. I guess I expected more. At the end of the day I’ve learned that rubber is rubber even if it has Hermes stamped on it.

Does the deployment buckle on the Kilim bother the bottom of anyone’s wrist if they’re using a mouse? Never had a band with that buckle type and was curious.

I ordered the Ultra 2 and I think it’s just too big. The side of the watch with the crown just digs into my wrist all day if my wrist is slightly bent. I also don’t love any of the Ultra bands, and think the normal watch bands look odd on it.Love the big, bright screen though. I may return it and just continue using my Series 8 Hermes and treat myself to the Kilim band if it’s comfortable with the buckle.

The deployment buckle digs into my wrist anytime it’s at a weird angle, but this is mostly based on the Fauve Barenia (3+ years of use) and the Kilim which I only used for 3-4 days. I love deployment for ease of use, but not for comfort - it’s cold and digs into your wrist at certain angles.

Hope that helps.

Haha I was veeeeeery close to buying your Series 8, but even as good of a deal as it was, I just don't have the disposable income to make it happen. Maybe one day!

I’m also selling my series 8 Hermès, if anyone interested to know more let me know on a private message or on discord.

It’s never bothered me. I have it on my Rolex and it’s one of the reasons why I love the Kilim so much. I have worn Rolex’s over 20+ years and never had an issue so I’m not anticipating any with the Kilim. Been wearing it for almost 2 weeks and it’s very comfortable for me.

It’s much better on my Sub and Pepsi. I think its the fact that part of the band is rubber/leather which makes it more obvious (at least for me.)

What are the thoughts on sweat + Kilim deployment buckle?

At minimum, I lift for 60 minutes and then run for 2.5-3 miles, 5 mornings per week. Sometimes there’s even a second workout at night time.

My leather band is rarely used because swapping them out is a hassle and probably wears down the parts if I swap that frequently. I usually have either the orange or black sport band on my watch.

The Kilim is still tempting me, but I’m thinking it might be a waste of material and waste of money for my use case.
