How ones it work again? I thought you could buy all the bands separately. Some bands are unique to the Hermes bundled package? That doesn’t make more sense. Otherwise you could simply buy a SS and a band.
You also wouldn't get the Hermes watch faces and limited edition orange sport band.

The band can be replicated. Watch face ... if it was always on different story.

But it doesn’t matter. This debates been done many times. Everyone can get what they like. I just wish they’d do something to make the Hermes feel a little more special. Selling the bands separately cheapens it somehow. Sure it’s vain , the ceramic does at least look completely different.

Hurm, I don't see the appeal, honestly. The current Hermes watch faces are gorgeous in their simplicity (ok, not so much the one that's like all pyramids and stuff, but the other ones look fricken great), and they really "own" the rectangular watch display IMO. Analog watches also look better in rectangular format, IMO. There's a whole bunch of cool ones from like the 1960s that are awesome.

Too bad though that I'm such a gadget nerd that I could never stick with a Hermes watchface all day long. I NEED WIDGETS! lol (Also, I can't afford the price of the leather/metal clasp band whatsitscalled, ugh. Looks awesome, but hell... $1600, goddamn!)

I'm just not a fan of square/rect watches. And also not a fan of a watch with a blank face. I get the tech part and I'm sure if I had one I would appreciate that tech.

But to me an Apple Watch is an inexpensive way to get a nice looking watch, if it had an always on display.

Not even remotely fashionable.
Well, that's your personal opinion, not an actual fact.

The always-on thing has been beaten to death a million times, but again: power draw. As in, it would probably go up 10+ times versus display off, for a variety of reasons. So obviously not realistic.

Everyone knows the difference between opinions and facts. Not sure what your point is though.

Would you'd like to venture the opinion that a blank smartwatch screen on your arm is fashionable? :D

Go on then, let's hear you say it. Give us all a laugh.

I'm sure they could come up with a solution. Like show the time complication, then when you bring up the watch (like today) fade in the rest. Apple is pretty smart. They can do it.

That's what the TAG does. Their always on version is a stripped down and dim alternative to the full screen.

I wish the raise to wake feature could be improved and function more reliably, but an always-on display regarding battery life would make me paranoid as hell.

I only have a janky OG watch; all the later models have way more brainpower so maybe raise to wake works differently, but for me it is almost 100% reliable, as long as you orient the watch so the display is oriented at straight angles to the ground. IE if you're slouching in a couch with your arm tilted at an angle and turn your wrist, the display probably won't come on. But if you're sitting up straight and turn your wrist so the display ends up parallel to the ground (or straight vertical), it will. Nearly always. Sometimes it fails, like if you turn your wrist too slowly/hesitantly.

To me personally, it's not the display itself that decides if a thing is classy, or "fashionable". I don't need the display burning power constantly. Instead, I see the object itself, does it look good? Yeah, to me, apple watch does look good just by itself, on its own. The hermes armbands are pretty classy too, without being overstated and flashy about being expensive (which I hate.) The watchfaces are, as mentioned, very scaled-back and simple, which looks great to me. I'm a big fan of the Nordic design tradition, where "less is more", and Apple stuff in general follows that, and the Watch in particular one might say.

I like the 44mm multiple colour single tour or the Fauve Rallye.

The prices have gone up by more than AUD$300-400 in Australia OMG!!

And you can now purchase the same new bands separately without the watch. In past years certain bands only came with the watch.

i'm debating between the rallye fauve and the single indigo/craie/orange swift and the regular fauve since i never owned an hermes version before

i'm really unsure about the white on the dual band though.....and i didn't like the black rallye before cause the leather was rather soft, perhaps the fauve will be harder though?

help me pick!!!!!!!!!!!!

I usualyl do the deployment buckle, but I do like the fauve grain (not sure I like the rally style though). Wish the regular fauve had the grain.

Has the price of the Hermès increased for you guys in the US from S3?

I know the Australian dollar isn’t doing well but damn that price hike hurts...
No. It’s the same.
[doublepost=1536783711][/doublepost]Too bad they aren’t offering the indigo/craie/orange in 40mm. I might just get the “standard” single tour.

I’m not really a big fan of any of them. I thought last years offering were stronger. I really dislike the new two tone face...maybe it’ll look better to me in person

Although I like the clown strap, I got stung with my old Hermes orange strap when it picked up ink from my hoodie and was permanently stained. The white in the clown strap will be even more susceptible to this.

So I may have to go with the pure blue — but will it still have the two tone Hermes watchface, as I really like that.

I would be extremely surprised if they limited the two tone faces to only the ones sold with the two tone bands.

But you never know.
