Has anyone tried buying the S10 watch case with an older leather band from their Hermes boutique? I want this band with the S10 watch case as a combo.

Yes, I picked up the Hermes S10 with a leather single tour band (Bleu jean white stitches) in Monaco last week, they had plenty of choice. Basically you can configure by yourself. One person in shop was buying the S10 46mm with the new ultra hermes band for example. What you see online is just the standard configurations, but definitely go into the shop to have more choice.

They did not have any of the Kilim bands available in store.

Back from Hermes with a little nugget that I had no clue, went to see if they had any stock as I wanted to get the bleu de France kilim (damn these forums and all the sexy pics draining my bank account), they had slim pickings (save for the knit bands) but they did have one on the display watch which I gladly scooped up, when sales person was chatting I mentioned I was there last week and managed to grab the one grand H they had, also the only one they had, he said to me well you were extremely lucky as the sales person was not supposed to sell it to you last week as it only launches end of October! Maybe that explains the reason it’s quite hard to find?

How loose or snug should deployment clasp (including Kilim) be? I had them at the middle ( fourth hole). They are comfortable and do not move around. However, when I remove the watch, there the clasp has left a mark on my wrist that lasts for hours. If I go one hole looser, the band moves a bit. are there any guidelines regarding this?

Where’s this? Japan based on the date format shown on the 42mm?
So I guess they are available in store. Just not here in Australia … Mine is still quoted to come first week of November.
Those look like demo units at an Apple Store

I think that’s how I got the Grand H as well. Does yours have a serial number on it anywhere?

For those in the US the metal band is now on hermes website in both 42mm and 46mm sizes and a restock of 41mm Kilim last fall and summer colors is available for purchase.
Just a small note to add that the listing for the grand h still says, “This product will start shipping from end of October.”

So if you already have a grand h on order, keep that.

Otherwise this is good for anyone who hadn’t placed an order yet!

No serial number that I can see. Is there supposed to be one?
There was a serial on the back of the box so I thought it's hidden somewhere on the band in case I missed it. It would also help battle counterfeits considering that it's an expensive item.

No size large, unfortunately. Keeping fingers crossed!
Not sure if this helps or applies to you but maybe it will help someone else. Since only one set of links can be removed, I believe removing one link from the large would make it a medium, and removing one link from the medium makes it a small. So if anyone needs to remove links, you can opt for the other size. Also another tip, I fit the medium perfectly and for the Kilim I use the 4th hole from the tip (gives me half an inch worth of space between my wrist and the band). This is just my personal opinion and everyone fits differently so take it with a grain of salt.

Looking at the size ranges I’ll need a large.

But also my understanding of the sizing is that a small with both links is the size of a medium with no links, and a medium with both links is the size of a large with no links. Removing one from either gets you halfway.

Which Kilim, the 42 or 46mm variant (as I’m sure the latter is larger)? I have the 42mm one and I wear it on the second last (sixth) hole. :) Medium should be my go-to size, according to the website.

That's a good point, you could remove one asymmetrically instead of one from each side. It likely won't be noticeable and it will get you half way.

I know that. It should not be too snug. Years ago I bought a High-End mechanical watch and was told, that I should be able to "insert" a finger between the band and my wrist. This is the sweet spot.

That mark on your wrist points at "too snug".

Curious if any guys have bought the Twill Jump Attelage Single Tour - love the band but feel that it might be too thin on a males wrist. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

From the photos they seem to show four removable links with the little tab in the middle, and two on each side.

So there’s actually only one removable link on each side?

If you removed both links from one side, how would you attach the watch back? You need the button on the adjustable links to snap in. Hope that makes sense to help you conceptualize why only one link is removable from each side.
