I must say that my favorite combo right now is pairing the Series 10 with a link bracelet. The only thing that bothers me is that the lugs don't quite match because of the links' matte finish. I’m not really keen on polishing the entire bracelet.

Has anyone tried polishing just parts of the bracelet to achieve a smoother transition at the lugs? Maybe just polishing the first (end) link at either side and/or the sides of the bracelet? 😊

I did just that a week ago!

Polished the sides of my silver link bracelet to match the new link bracelets (and the old SBSS option) and to also better match the polished silver case of the Hermès S10, with great results!

Looks awesome! So you just went for the sides and let the all the links be as they were?

Yup! The Space Black Link Bracelet along with all three new Link Bracelets have polished sides so I figured I’d make my Silver one match and I’m glad I did.

How loose or snug should deployment clasp (including Kilim) be? I had them at the middle ( fourth hole). They are comfortable and do not move around. However, when I remove the watch, there the clasp has left a mark on my wrist that lasts for hours. If I go one hole looser, the band moves a bit. are there any guidelines regarding this?
I wear the Kilim, and all bands a bit loose to where I can slide a finger underneath the band, never had any marks left on wrist. There’s no guidelines, wear it the way it feels comfortable to you.

General rule of thumb for watches is that you should be able to fit 1 finger between band and wrist fairly snug but not tight, and 2 fingers shouldnt fit or at best be super tight

I'm keeping my 7. I have too many things I want to buy, and I intend to ride out my Hermes AW7. All my bands fit nicely so I'm really content. Also happy I have the cool Lucky Horse and Circuit watch faces, they go really nicely with the bands I own.

But if you really like the 10, you should get it. I'm okay without it. But my battery health is at exactly 80%, how much do you think it will cost me to replace battery if my Apple Care expired?

Ah! mine is at 80%. I thought it had to be below 80% lol.

Apple doesn't ever do same-unit battery replacements on watches, they replace the entire watch at what's called "battery-only pricing". It will replace your watch with an identical refurbished model that is the same color, same size, same generation, same configuration a.k.a. cellular or GPS, etc unless there is some sort of issue with stock shortages or some other special circumstance in which case they can replace it with a slightly newer variant. Of course all cosmetic issues like scratches and dents will be taken care of at the same time since it's a replacement model altogether. You specifically qualify for this pricing as soon as you get the "service recommended" message in your watches battery health settings, since the presence of this message will fail MRI (machine response inspector, the diagnostic they run at intake for store appointment, or remotely for mail-in). Watch replacement cost will be 99 US plus tax, and it will usually take somewhere between 3 to 7 business days because for whatever reason, Apple watches operates exclusively on a mail-in basis even though the contracted repair depot is literally just gonna stare at it for 30 seconds and rerun MRI and then just replace the whole thing and mail it back.

Thank you for this!
NP! If youre going in with a Hermes watch, the replacement is also a Hermes watch too and itll be perfect and mint. Apple keeps refurbished unit stock for up to 5 years from the last time that generation of watch was sold brand new, which as of today goes as far back as the Series 3. Once it goes Vintage (5+ yrs from last sale date) then theres no replacement stock available at all

Curious if any guys have bought the Twill Jump Attelage Single Tour - love the band but feel that it might be too thin on a males wrist. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Keen to know as well. I am still considering it

All this talk of link bracelets has made me remove my Kilim and put on the Apple Link

Quite like it actually and forgot I had it.

This looks great! One of the best things about getting Hermes Silver Ti is the fairly good match between the pre-existing silver milanese loop and the link bracelet. My Link Bracelet also I bought around the series 2, series 3 time and looks great on my hermes Ti watch! Thanks for sharing!

Hi! Considering to buy my very first Apple Watch Hermès! Do you know what is happening with supply? I don't see even the option to order many AW Hermès configurations. I can wait that's not the issue, but I'm surprised to see how limited the options are right now

Might I ask how you polished it? I asked a local jeweler today and he said that it’s a rather time consuming thing to do and it’d cost around $150 (roughly converted).

I'm glad my link bracelet and other stainless hardware bands match. I have noticed that some seem to fit more flush than others, though. My 38mm link bracelet is inset ~.3-.5mm from the edges so it isn't truly flush, nor is my 40mm fauve barenia, but my 40mm milanese is perfectly flush - as is the 42mm Kilim that came with my S10. Go figure.

Hi and welcome to forum!! Once you wear that Hermes Apple Watch you will never want to wear another model. The faces and the bands have me hooked since Series 3. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️.

Unfortunately Apple doesn’t always consistently restock Hermes Apple Watches and bands after the initial ordering goes live and then sells out. Your best bet is to order it directly from Hermes. But be mindful of their return policy. It has been this way with apple for quite a few years now.

Feel free to post any questions. The forum members here are some of the kindest and most knowledgeable you will find on macrumors.

I appreciate your answer and the warm welcome! I’ll have a look at Hermes website. Thank you so much!

The way I did it wasn’t the right way to do it; I used what I had around and it took about 20 minutes but would’ve taken less if I did it properly. Should research instructions for it, seems like at least a polishing attachment (kinda like a ball of cotton on a stick) for a dremel/precision rotary tool and a metal polishing cream are the basic requirements. Haven’t done it that way myself so I’m not sure of the specifics.

Even if you don’t have a dremel/precision rotary tool, you can get one and all of the supplies you need and likely still spend considerably less than the $150 that jeweler was asking.

S10 Hermes 46mm. Picked it up yesterday at the local Hermes boutique here in Houston. I’m a big fan of the Fauve color deployment buckle
The Fauve barénia is still my favorite band to pair with the watch. Mine has the attelage lugs, but I swapped the tang-style buckle with the deployment clasp from my ébene band, which I don't wear as often. I love pairing it with the indigo Circulaire face. It's my usual go-to face for the weekend.
