I've got both new pro models and neither are bent (or have bad pixels or bleeding or any other defect I can see, and I am pretty picky).

Have had no issues and don't foresee any. It's in the new apple case and then dropped into a leather sleeve. I'm just really careful with all my expensive gadgets so I never tend to have these problems.

I’ve travelled with mine in an overstuffed backpack and taken it around town quite a bit in my tote. No issues.

You must have really heavy cats.

one heavy cat, one light cat: 7 and 15 lbs ;) I only posted here to add some real-world experience to the thread as most posts appear to be baseless speculation. Yes, mine is bent, but I don't think it's anything to worry about and don't plan on doing anything about it.

How bent is it? Would you have noticed without looking for it?

I noticed the bending when the screen was off because the reflection was warped like a funhouse mirror. I don't notice when I'm using it.

There is more of a bonding issue with all the new hubs and USB-C cables :)

Can't really tell with my 2018 iPad Pro. Sometimes I think it's bent, other times it looks to be straight (no pun ;) ). Don't a have a ruler to really check, but it's probably fine so far.

My 2017 iPad Pro has a slight curve to it. Not enough to be an issue, but it's there. I've taken good care of it but the bend was either there when I bought it or it's developed after many hours of drawing.

No bending of 2017 12.9 (ASK and a clear back cover most of the time) or 2018 11 inch (keyboard folio). I am reasonably careful, but also a big klutz who has broken many iPhone screens.

Theres a funny thing that happens when you take a thin flat object and apply force to the center of that object while holding on the outside.

In other news, I paid a lot of money for that thin flat object, and I intentionally and specifically avoid that type of force being applied to it.

No bending here. 12.9”

Carry it in my backpack plenty of times. Not overly careful with my iPads as I use them onsite....but don’t go putting stress on it that might bend a thin object like the iPad.

Got the 11" pro. I use it without a case around the house. Mine's already bent in less than a month because of the stupid protruded camera bump preventing it from sitting flat on a table. I think the bending was caused by my cats walking across it...the iPad still works fine though so I'm not going to worry about the bending.

Do you have Tigers?

No bending here on my 12.9” 2018 model. After seeing the reports, I DID buy AppleCare, but now I’m just using it as normal. I tend to be quite careful with my devices anyway, though, so I don’t anticipate any damage.

Best ipad I’ve ever owned.

Mine arrived today, no bend as far as I can tell.

My family got pretty curious when they noticed me pressing the iPad up against every hard surface in the house lol
