Here it is on my hospital food tray. Can you see the bend? It’s not huge, but it’s noticeable to me. I think that if I determine that the ‘pixel’ issue in the front is just the screen protector that I won’t worry about the slight curve. Due to the way it curves, when it’s laying flat on its back on the tray table there is zero wobble and it’s very steady. Is that the case with perfectly flat iPads too?

Sure thats not the table thats uneven? Especially those hospital bed tables would naturally take more weight in the middle overtime. Try pressing it up against the sides of the table

Right, plastic food tray table. NIST Certified flat to within 2 microns per inch. What a wonderful surface plate to test for straightness.

Please tell me this is a joke, I’m begging here.

I returned mine and went with the 10.5 which was $175 off. Already have the “old” pencil so saved that money also.

Mine is from launch and no bends. I even checked my 2015. both 12.9"

I do think it can seem concerning, but I just focus on all the good...

I don't understand the folks saying "this is stupid" or "this is so silly."

There are many instances of the new iPad Pros coming slightly bent out of the box at the antenna line on LTE models. It's a thing. It happened to me personally. The Wi-Fi model is obviously less prone since there's no break in the aluminum on any of its sides.

Does the LTE situation really count as "bent"? Who knows. Maybe keeping two pieces of metal straight is harder than we realize. The concern is whether it will worsen over time, and it's just still very early to know.

But to be so dismissive of it is rather annoying. Don't read the dang thread, then.

The bending threads make scary reading. Putting me off buying. But how many people with the new IPPs are not experiencing this? I realize that any thread on this subject is not a scientific survey. However, it would be encouraging if a lot of people reported zero problems in this regard.

My 11 inch iPad Pro is perfectly fine. It’s not bent at all, and I don’t foresee it becoming bent. I don’t know what these people are doing to their iPads that is causing bending, but mine is quite sturdy.

It was visibly bent and no question about it. I had multiple people take a look and say the same. The hospital tray was just one surface that I compared it against. It has been returned via courier since I’m in hospital still. I’m ordering another one for delivery.

Had my 12.9 since launch, keep it in a clear silicon case and throw it in a Thule carry case. No bending and no issues.

I have the 11” for slightly more than 2 weeks now. No bending, my issue is that doesn’t seem to work with any decent screen protector and has a dead pixel.

Mine is bent
Thats probably the most blatant one I´ve seen yet.

Seem to me like there are 2 ways this go, bent out of the box = people either see it bent right away or notices a week later and thinks they bent it under use

OR

Not bent out of the box and fine forever

Either way if you notice even just a tiny bend take it back immediately, it could be faulty units more than bad design.

Can't really tell with my 2018 iPad Pro. Sometimes I think it's bent, other times it looks to be straight (no pun ;) ). Don't a have a ruler to really check, but it's probably fine so far.

Isn’t it funny how we don’t have simple stationary items lying around the house anymore because we’re all busy using computers, tablets and phones? I’ve lost count the number of times I have scrambled just to find a pen.

The whole bend issue is massively blown out of proportion.

It’s obvious that a thin device like this is vulnerable to bending and if you’re not careful enough it will definitely happen. The iPad’s that were bent out of the box could have been a faulty batch, rather than a design flaw.

My iPad Pro 12.9 is still in pristine condition, no bends or whatsoever. And i’ve been bringing it to work every single day since launch day.

Use common sense while packing and traveling and you will be fine.
If you’ve gotten a bent one out of the box, don’t even hesitate and send/bring it back in.

I used common sense and bought a wonderful leather satchel fully padded and zips to keep it all snug, yet still this has happened, I didn't even get the chance to take mine anywhere yet.

I did look it over in store, well I thought I did, but I know nothing drastic has happened to it, it has been held minimal amount of times. It is just bent.

None of my kids iPads have a scratch, or a dent and they don't put theirs away in leather satchels on high shelves, they treat theirs like kids would (like you should never treat an iPad) but have always held up strong.
My iPad Pro, either bent from get go or handles very poorly in the real world.

I'm carrying the 11" around in my backpack for about 1.5 months now and there's no bending to be seen.

11” iPad Pro here. I’ve fallen off a horse. Gotten hit by a car. Fell down a flight of stairs & jumped out of a plane. And No bends yet. Of course I did all those things while NOT carrying my iPad Pro. But still...no bends.
