Mine’s fine. The chances of you receiving a normal unit are far greater than you getting a faulty one. Apple should rightly be scrutinised for the prices they charge but they haven’t turned into a plundering bootleg-quality factory overnight upon unveiling these iPads.

My 12.9 3rd gen is doing just fine but I’m not putting it in a backpack and sitting on it either.

Got the 11" pro. I use it without a case around the house. Mine's already bent in less than a month because of the stupid protruded camera bump preventing it from sitting flat on a table. I think the bending was caused by my cats walking across it...the iPad still works fine though so I'm not going to worry about the bending.

I have two cats, there is no way a cat walking on this thing will bend it.

I have no bend issues at all and I agree this is way overblown. The video I find to be totally dishonest is the one where the guy does a torture test to the iPad Pro. I knew right away it was going to be biased when he used a knife to open the packaging up. Then he proceeds to make a bunch of scratches and breaks apart pieces off before he bends the iPad Pro. I kind of expected to see him do a karate chop to the iPad Pro while he was bending it. I think anyone could had done the same thing to the iPad Pro and get the same results. Anyone with the right mind wouldn't do something like that to an expensive item in the first place. I can't remember exactly in the video or what he exactly was calling it (I think it was sapphire), but he said he was shocked to see it scratched so easily. I am under the impression that he thinks it was supposed be some kind of material that had the strength of an industrial diamond? If that what it was then he is so wrong that it's funny.

My pad is flat. I also treat it as a $1300 item.
I also treat my $10 items well and they stay in shape.

I have 6 kids I just keep my stuff away, I use it I pack it up in good protective cases and put things up high where no one can walk on things.

I just had to teach my 10year old daughter the same thing, don’t put iPads where someone they can be damaged, the floor is not a good option.

My iPad Pro 12.9 just arrived last night and my husband brought it into me in hospital (I’ve just had a double knee replacement) and my iPad is bent out of the box. It’s actually a real thing. I got Apple Care, but I’m disappointed about this and I’m stuck in hospital for 2+ weeks. The screen is perfect otherwise though. What do I do in my situation when my husband has enough going on right now and I’m stuck in hospital?

Actually, I’m going to add to my above post that I see 6 shiny pixels in the screen, but I applied a screen protector so I won’t know for sure unless I take it off. I applied the screen protector with the iPad laying on my stomach in hospital, so not even on a hard surface. I think that perhaps I should wait until I’m home and check the pixels by taking the screen protector off then as a minimum. I could do it now, but then I have no screen protector for the rest of my hospital stay.

Here it is on my hospital food tray. Can you see the bend? It’s not huge, but it’s noticeable to me. I think that if I determine that the ‘pixel’ issue in the front is just the screen protector that I won’t worry about the slight curve. Due to the way it curves, when it’s laying flat on its back on the tray table there is zero wobble and it’s very steady. Is that the case with perfectly flat iPads too?

I asked for the Bendy model but the store said you're flat out of luck.

So I've had to make do with the pancake edition they sold me instead. :D
Dad jokes for the win! :)

Mine arrived today, no bend as far as I can tell.

My family got pretty curious when they noticed me pressing the iPad up against every hard surface in the house lol
Totally bent - get it replaced ASAP!!!!

Oh, wait a minute, let me actually look at it before the sky falls. Yep, looks good! :)

just press down on it and flatten it out

No bending here. However I do treat my $1300 device like its a $1300 device.
I treat mine like it’s a newborn baby but I keep it’s diet pure, (rice, fish, no dairy, no gluten, no red meats.) i treat my Ipad like a baby made of 100 lbs of pure gold melted down with thousands of real organic diamonds thrown in. And as long as I cuddle it gently I’m quite sure it will be okay, but as always... *knock on wood. ;):D
