Nice to have Face ID on all my devices. Opening the 10.5 felt like a step backward. I still have the 10.5 Pro as I haven't sold it yet.
I still have my 9.7 IPP and it feels so primitive compared to my 11 IPP.

Fair enough. My point on the matter... was your expectations on upgrading. You passed up on the 3rd generation and now this 4th generation. As @rui no onna mention most users won't upgrade unless performance becomes a issue.
I was just curious on your position that's all.
Yes, I'll have agree with you on the bugginess of external drive support (USB-C) and Files App. I'm just hoping after a few tweaks that Apple makes the experience better. Because it's horrible right now. I'm having better results with external drive support on my Note10+ than my iPP.
I really don't think a 2nd C port is necessary when a cheap hub will let you expand that if needed. Everyone's use case and needs are different but a single, high bandwidth generic port is a great solution for the majority I would imagine.
First generation iPad Pro 11" here (though purchased in mid 2019). Not upgrading either. Hasn't felt slow by one iota.Count me out too, no upgrades this year.
Is there even a chipset available supporting 2 USB-C ports? It's been a problem - why you don't see many hubs with two.
Surprised there are hubs with two. Afaik, there's no chipset available yet for USB-C to multiple USB-C.Is there even a chipset available supporting 2 USB-C ports? It's been a problem - why you don't see many hubs with two.

May I ask , are both the 11 and 12.9 yours and if so what Are your main use for each iPad?The new IPad has some cool features and naturally I am attracted to them. My 2018 11 and 12.9 tablets are still working great and I see no urgency to change. Actually, I have been more satisfied with the 2018 than any previous models (and I've owned practically all of them). Still wish I had sprung for the 1TB model on my 11 inch though.

Still on a 9.7 IPP but looking hard @ buying a 2018 11" refurb, anyone think the prices will get any lower going forward?
I've heard about a couple touch-screen issues and bends, but none of the others on the new iPad Pros (3rd gen)Bending, white spots, light bleeding, touchscreen freezing - Apple never mentioned whether they fixed any of those problems on new iPads. So no, not upgrading. The lottery to get a decently working device still seems too pricey.
Early benchmarks even show the iPad Pro 2020 is 1% faster in CPU, but the RAM has issues, so I am in the same boat as you (iPad Pro 3 is awesome!)I will not be upgrading my 2018 iPad Pro for this years model as it still pretty fast and not worth it.
I am also a Speech-Language Pathologist who travels with my iPad Pro daily with the Smart Keyboard case, I also have no desire to upgrade right away since they will not have a keyboard case at launch. This is essential for my work everyday to have the keyboard case.
