bit of a problem for me. I'm jailbroken on iphone 3.0, carrier file 5.2. MMS has been working just fine for me since wednesday. As of today, like 10m ago...it stopped working. I can recieve pictures, but i just can't send them. I get the red !. I've updated to carrier file 5.5 and it still doesn't work. Rebooted my phone and all.

Could this be a serious problem or is the 3g network just clogged? I'm in texas

Hmmmm, I followed the instructions exactly, re-booted my phone, and I'm still on 4.0, didn't do a thing..:confused:

Did you try reseting the iPhone after it was installed. You might wanna just redownload the ipcc and start over.

Ok, I got it to update, when I was choosing the new carrier file it wasn't opening up in the file name box, I had to select my desktop and the file and then when I hit open itunes started installing the new carrier file. I think it's just cause my computer is old and tired:cool:

I now have carrier file 5.5 on my phone and mms is working, thanks to the op!:)

I updated to the 5.5 carrier setting on my 3GS. I previously had tethering before hand which i forgot if i put a hacked carrier file. (no mms tho) I updated to 5.5 and tethering is STILL there and I have MMS :)

I must be dumb, but I can't get the file to open up in itunes.

I download the linked files to my desktop, (the save as zipped, so I extract them to a new folder on my desktop, then run the cmd prompt, that works fine, then I open itunes and shift/click update, then here's where I have trouble. I change the file type as mentioned, but, the main folder is called ATTus, then, in itunes, I open it, and the folder just opens and reveals another folder called payload. I open that, it says ATTusbundle, open that, various language option files, but, nothing I open actually installs the new carrier file, any suggestions? Thanks, Ari

Way to go savior! Nice work.
Sending works here in Chicago.
Glad I don't have to go to 3.1.
Leaves my options open.
:D

It shouldn't be a zip file. It's a .ipcc file, You might have to redownload the file.

On MAC worked perfectly.... and currently tethering whilst typing this

only problem i had was i had to unistall my ATT carrier logo then restart:apple:

This still doesn't work for me or my wife. I have 5.5 installed (verified on the About screen), and we both still get a red ! when we try and send pictures. *sigh*
