So Sony doesn't move that many Xperia's but they're behind Samsung in terms of profit (I'll try and find source). Everyone else is doing worse than Sony and here in the states the same argument can be had that was made about HTC. I don't see anyone with a Sony phone. I have yet to see a single person, but I do know of one other HTC 10 user in Coloardo. Yes I know one person with an HTC 10 in Colorado vs the majority of iPhone and Samsung phones I see everywhere, it honestly makes no difference in this debate. It's such a small factor in this it's not even worth mentioning.
But the thing is, if HTC was smart about it, then numbers wouldn't make a different. If cost to manufacture, and research and development and this and that and the other is less than each unit sold then they're making money. I don't know if this is the case and it could be far from it, but my point is, units sold doesn't mean success for a company necessarily.
And like I said, the Nexus name will surely help if there are deficits
***Edit***
Looks like I was wrong, Sony pulls more profit than Samsung according to this article which pulls it's source from another location.
