It's really interesting how the rumors are shaping our plans. Now we're excited about the Edge more than the M9!

I am still going to get the M9 first. Then depending on the feedback on the 6 edge maybe that phone as well. the curved display looks great! But I am concerned about the false touches on the curbed screen. But I can't wait to see it in person and test it!

I think HTC should kill the "One" name. They confused alot of people with it back in 2012 only to follow up a One X and One S for a One and then One M8. I think the One name has become overkill. Huawei is smart by eliminating the "Ascend" name and their next device will be called just Huawei P8. LG is smart by eliminating "Optimus" and calling the Optimus G's successors just G2 or G3. Samsung should also start killing off the Galaxy name too. Just call it Samsung Note 5 and S6.

HTC should just call it M9. The 9 being the 9th generation flagship they released since 2007. It isn't like Sony is catching up with the name with their Xperia M series and who knows how much they will last in the industry.

LG can have the G.
Huawei can have the P.
HTC can have the M.
Samsung can have the S and even the A.
Sony can have the Z (sorry BlackBerry).

There is 26 letters in the English alphabet but far less major manufacturers to use them. Ascend, Optimus, One, Galaxy, and Xperia all are overkill. But names like iPhone, Lumia, and Nexus is fine next to a number.

I am probably setting myself up for disappointment. But i really hope HTC has been hiding the real M9 and M9 Plus. Maybe I am dreaming but I really hope they surprise everyone and unveil this tomorrow!

If they unveil that .. It will be my next phone. If not it'll likely be the edge.

HTC “Hima” Flagship Device Rumored to Sport Snapdragon 810, 5-Inch FHD Displa...

Regardless of the price?

Yeah, by then (April) I'll be due a carrier upgrade so will be getting either subsidised by at least 50-60%, additionally by its release I have two other android devices (note 4/Moto X 2014) - one of which I'll sell off to pay for the upgrade price of the new device.

And by October I'll be due another carrier upgrade too - just in time for a 6s Plus or Note 5 :)

I have zero need for a second phone but if it looked like that with the widely published specs, I'd get it as well.

I really don't see the attraction for the S6 Edge--doesn't look like it offers as much usable edge space as the Note Edge (which I already find next to useless), just allows very edge of screen to bleed over. That would irritate the hell out of me. What am I missing? (I have to admit I haven't been following all the leaks regarding the device)

I am with you on the edge...it might have that instant wow factor. But that would wear off quickly if it is not practical. How hard would be to pick up the edge from a flat surface? My 6+ is so thin it is hard to pick up I imagine the curved glass on the edge would make it hard to pick up too.

Wow... Almost had me. Look closely at 00:55.... This is as real as Nicki Minaj's ass.
Fireblade posted the same video @ post #205. I hope it is a fake and HTC has pulled off the most elaborate bait and switch. I really hope the pictures I posted earlier are the real M9.
We will see in about 16 Hours my time.

Samsung still has the standard S6. People forget that they have 2 models coming out. I personally would do the Edge because it's different. The M9 is literally the same old experience.

I know they will have two models. But the person I was responding to wanted the edge so thats why I mentioned it.
The M8 was a great phone. It was regarded as one of the best designed Android phones in 2014. The camera kept it back from being a great phone. If HTC can keep the design and add a great camera then the M9 will be a great phone.

I think your wish will come true. But I will be disappointed with the same design and no sight of a phablet. HTC released the 6" Max over a year ago and has allowed it to die. How the heck does Apple have a phablet but HTC does not? HTC was first one to release a 4.3" phone (HD2) back when Apple only had a 3.5" display. I don't trust HTC.

Exactly! Why settle for ho-hum when there's better phones coming out. Motorola was in the same boat and they responded very nicely. Samsung is on track to do the same tomorrow. It's like HTC and Sony are in the same boat. There is no room for mistakes.

Really hoping all these are elaborate fakes controlled by HTC so that when they do unveil they steal a lot of thunder from Sammy press wise......

The person on video claimed these were from HTC who just launched the device, but we all know that's not till tomorrow and HTC would not give press devices like this because of inevitable leaks.

All of these seem very controlled & contrived and isn't it just a coincidence that NO m9 plus has surfaced? Even though everyone fully expects one.

No - I genuinely suspect there has to be more to this ... I hope my suspicions are realised ...

I usually know a leak is real when the person shooting the video only makes stupid comments on the design and stuff we already know, like the specs, instead of showing the UI and such.

All first hand videos are like this. So annoying. I don't need to see 500 times the guy showing the exterior design!

1080 screen is good enough, will be interesting to see how it fares in battery compared to the phones doing more than 1080
