Sadly, no. But I'm not giving up.
Cool. So you keeping your 4 rather than selling and waiting for a 5?

I sold my ipad4 because everyone I got had the stupid purple hue, couldn't stand it. Back to ipad 3 lol

I agree. I think this affects every single iPad 4. I've now tested a total of EIGHT iPad 4 devices (five in the store, and my three), and all have the same issue.
I tried it and mine's fine and almost everyone else is saying that too.
Almost everyone else is saying that too?

Which negates your insane repetition that the iPad has a major and serious design flaw. Such a serious flaw as you claim won't show up in only a few units
As for your contention that you'll get Apple to take care of you when the iPad 5 comes out (implying you'll bully them into giving you a free one cause you discovered this 'flaw'), good luck with that. Perhaps you should file that class action suit now so it will all be settled before that model comes out. I mean why should you be the only one to get a free iPad when 'everyone' has had to suffer this heinous error. Of course every person that can't demonstrate this flaw on their iPad 4 will be excluded. And there's no guarantee that the court will side with you that they owe everyone the updated model but why not give it a whirl
I'll get Apple to take care of me as and when the 5 comes out, if I have to. I've given them so, so much information, so the fact that this hasn't been addressed is kind of mental, especially since the higher-level techs have reproduced the issue.
Has that been done successfully by anyone before?
I called Apple today, and got some pretty disheartening news. Basically, engineering can't reproduce it, at which point they categorize the issue as "normal behavior." This is what the senior advisor informed me.
I can't even begin to express how much that bothered me, that any issue not reproducible is considered "normal behavior."
Anyway, I was then transferred to Customer Relations at my request, and after reviewing some videos of the problem, the rep I spoke to agreed that the issue we're reporting is obviously not "normal."
I sent them this video via email while on the phone:

So it's being re-forwarded to engineering from Customer Relations, and I'll hear back shortly.
Hell, it's only been 5 months this is going on. What's another month or two?
Apologies I don't have more good news, but I'll keep you all posted.
For what it's wor, this is clearly a real and reproducible issue. That being said, it's one that almost never happens in normal usage. I can clearly see it on my own iPad 4, but only when I've gone out of my way to make it happen. This isn't a problem that affects probably 99% of users. I think it's going to be tough to get Apple to do much about it. I commend your efforts, though!
If it wasn't for this thread,I would not even be aware of this "issue".I still haven't seen this problem in normal usage on mine. For what it's wor, this is clearly a real and reproducible issue. if its not reproducible, its not an issue
