I really want to like this phone but it's just too big. I don't know what Google were thinking with this one
Yeah it's size is it's biggest weakness IMHO.I really want to like this phone but it's just too big. I don't know what Google were thinking with this one
That could be Russian for all I know. Didn't understand a word. Will get a tech dictionary out....the difficulty with tracking lag is usually down to a rogue app, but without knowing your setup it would be hard to determine.
I know how easy it is to suddenly get lag, have you cleared cache incase of a rogue update, best done in recovery mode.
I have several apps i use in my setup and have yet to face the odd lag:
- cleanrom / chroma in multirom setup
- rooted
- franco kernel r25 (better battery life / performance
- franco kernel ( again for the headphone and mic volume boost
- swipe navigation (hate navigation bar this gives full screen with imitating swipe gestures from the bottom
- servicely (this kills services from continuing like greenify but free and simple) made by franco kernel guy
Also in dev options set animations to .25 as i hate slow animations yawn.

But then it would just be a Moto X2 with no reason to call it a Nexus so why not just think of it as the Moto X2 Pure Edition Plus. For me the N6 was too big. Moto should have made it like the Moto X2 and 5.5 inch screen. That would be one sweet phone.
Absolutely, with a 5,5"display I would buy it immediately.I really want to like this phone but it's just too big. I don't know what Google were thinking with this one

The warning I gave right off the bat when I bought mine and used it for awhile was its size. It's big, no way round it because of its width.
Great for videos and games and browsing but for handling and ergonomics, forget it.
I came from the mega so was used to a big phone and the nexus is a fraction smaller but at the gym today this lady had the iPhone 6+ which looked huge but I do love a big phone lol.
But I agree its not for everybody I just couldn't see myself using a device less than 6 inches going forward its a nice sweet spot for my usuage pattern
Have you rooted the device? Or its completely stock?Yeah it is the width more than height that makes it feel very big.
Love stock android on it though 5.1 has been excellent for me.

Nice!Completely stock. Haven't even considered rooting or flashing custom rom or kernels etc.
Just an update. I had to reset my nexus 6, and I decided to wait and let it update. It updated all the way to 5.1. Put my Sim back in and still have 5.1. So if you can do it. Just have to be patient.
Thanks I am hoping maybe this will keep At&t from the updates. I doubt it though. I guess I can just keep restoring it every time there is an update. How are you liking yours?Yay congrats. Enjoy 5.1

So you like active display better than ambient display? What is the difference between the two?I'm in two minds. I can't decide whether I prefer it or the Moto X 2014.
Nexus 6. It has a better screen, more realestate and more ram but ...
Moto X 2014 just feels better in hand, plus it has the active display.
I really like the both of them .... But there are times in general use I feel the Nexus 6 just pushing the boundaries of size that bit too much.
Active display shows you the clock and can be activated by simply swiping your hand in front of the screen. You can also unlock your device with active display as you pick up device it presents you a lock to swipe and turn on the device meanig you don't have to touch the power button. So you like active display better than ambient display? Oh ok that sounds awesome. I do like ambient display. I like pulling it out of my pocket and just sliding my finer up to unlock it. The one thing I miss about the iPhone though, is touch ID.Active display shows you the clock and can be activated by simply swiping your hand in front of the screen. Nice! Lets us know how it goes. Did you get it from Google or from a carrier?I caved today and got a great deal on a white unlocked 32GB version.
Coming from a 6+ as I go back and forth between iOS and Android a couple times a year. I have been wanting to try the N6 for a while now.
Wish me luck!
