That is what I was hoping to hear!!!

2 of my biggest concerns coming from the 6+:
Camera
Battery life

Trust me I had reservations coming from the 6+ because that ran great for me but I got bored as I don't jailbreak and its size was just crazy it being a 5.5" screen.

I thought the Plus was the end all for me as I gave the N6 trials at T-Mobile and did not think it was worth the money. But it grew big time on me being pure android, crazy fast, the display outstanding, unbelievable memory management and I needed to remind myself it was priced like a phablet so that much more costly than the Nexus 5.

I appreciate all the feedback everyone and will be utilizing this OP thread as I dont see the need to start another one and didnt see a dedicated N6 thread minus the speculation one.

It is the unlocked Google version but I thought it didnt matter once you put a carrier sim in there it would over ride the unlocked piece of it and updates would be determined by ATT?

I wont put the sim until the very last moment but it will be annoying to do the restore every time an update comes out vs waiting on ATT to release.

You're correct. Point of purchase doesn't matter.

My favourite thing with the nexus 6 is using it for reading books. The deep blacks make it easy to read when I set the layout to night mode. Very comfortable reading experience.

Yeah its such a wide device. Any case makes it wider and that's not a good thing. I'm just relying on my dbrand skin to look after the back and that's how i'm rocking it.

How do you like the skin ? Is it easy to apply ? I'd like to find a nice matte black or dark grey color, that doesn't attract finger prints too.

Can that also cover up the blue sides and top too ?

Does a skin make it less slippery ?

You can get skins that cover the sides, I just got a matte black back. There is a video on how to apply the dbrand skin. Its easy to apply. It does stop the fingerprints and make it more grippy.

Nexus 6 ..... I have both Moto X 2014 & Nexus 6 - the nexus is better battery wise.

That's not normal behaviour regarding your iPhone. It sounds like the battery needs replacing in it.

Thanks MRU, looking good. I see you running stock ? No ROM or customizations ?

That matte black skin looks great, so much better than the icky finger print magnet and slippery bare back.

Which case do you like best ? My Wife has a white Rinke Slim case, but IMO it's very hard feeling, and quite slick, plus it's a pain the balls to take off.

Yep it is a pain in the hole to take the Ringke slim off.

Generally I just go naked with the dbrand skin oh and there is a spigen ultra crystal screen protector doing the job. If I do have to use a case its either of the clear ones but both make a wide device feel toooooo wide for me to be comfortable so prefer naked.

I bought two dbrand skins, so if this one ever scratches I have a blue matte one to replace it with.

And yep. Completely stock. I haven't felt the need to run anything else. Battery life and performance has been excellent on 5.1 for me personally.

Really liking that skin. Not a fan of adding a case to an already pretty big device so a skin for more grip is a nice solution.

Thanks for sharing that!

I may have been expecting more but I am not a fan of the Nexus 6 screen after my initial boot and setting this thing up.

Coming from the 6+ I expected more from QHD and its much warmer and washed out than the crispier, brightness of the 6+.

I do leave my devices on full brightness and next to each other on their web browsers, safari looks much crisper and brighter than chrome on my N6.

I guess its tougher too after coming from BB and seeing the S6 screen as well.

Hope this isnt a deal breaker.

I came from the 6+ as well. Its just the amoled that you need to get use too. Its a much warmer screen, and it will not get as bright as the 6+. In terms of sharpness I think its really good, just as sharp if not as sharp. The place this screen shines in with videos. Watch a YouTube video on your 6+, and then watch the same video on the nexus 6. I still love my iPhone, but I really like the nexus 6 too.

The Nexus 6 doesn't have a very good display, so I'm not surprised by your reaction. The overall display quality is vastly better on the iPhone 6+.

Its just a lot warmer than I expected and feels dull. Hard to describe coming from a vibrant, max brightness 6+.

Also, there is no quick reply when the screen is locked for messages like IP6+?

I will say 5.1 flies and I do like the colors and feel of Lollipop.

I had the same issue with the warm display but after rooting and installing Franco kernel, I have the option to mess with RGB values and it's looks a lot better.

In reference to quick reply, try textra. It's a decent third party app.

Franco kernel and custom RGB colors is a must, and then the Nexus 6 display will look a ton better.
