I purchased mine on Saturday. So far it is living up to my expectations.

I wasa little apprehensive about the size coming from the M7 but that hasn't provided to be an issue. The shape of the back makes it feel some than it really is and it feels no heavier than my M7 in reality even though it is.

Battery is doing well so. Better than the M7, which was a GPe device.

My home screen is pretty simple. I like the Google Now launcher. Have become accustomed to dropping left to get my cards :)

Apps I use are Nine for work email so my device doesn't get locked up by the enforced security settings. I use hangouts for my Google account, Google voice and carrier SMS.

None of the other android phones really interested me all that much.

I take it you are not using GEL to get 6 icons across on the home screen....

Could be Nova launcher too. It allows a grid setup of like 12 x 12 if you like.

I'm also running Nova Prime. Best launcher out there IMO. I install Nova first minute of every device I've owned since Nova released.

On my Nexus 6 I run it at 5 high X 6 wide pattern, and adjust the icon size to 150% in Nova settings so they don't look so tiny, at 150 they look like the stock Google Now launcher size.

Have never tried GEL. But I use Nova and I can a 6x6 icon grid.

I may have to try this Nova Launcher. I guess from the N5 I have kinda stuck with Googles launcher. (Before that I have used HoloHD)

Give it a try i think you will love it. You can customize the whole look and feel of the phone. You can shrink the icon size and grid as well.
I set up every new phone I get with Nova first thing. I export the Nova back up to Google Drive. This way after I have all my apps restored from Google......I import my Nova backup and settings and widgets are all right there. This a nice feature!

Wireless charger:Nokia DT-900
Skin: Dbrand white carbon fiber, no nexus

Loving both of these. The skin adds a nice amount of grip to the slippery white back and perfect for using this big phone naked which I prefer.

The wireless charger is a good size and very long cord which is a big plus. No fiddling with placement. Put it on and instantly reads every single time.

That's cheating - you got the easy to apply d-brand case. You should try fitting the one with the motorola and nexus parts cut out. That was tough :D :D

Though I really didn't mind the nexus branding I think this looks so much cleaner and really like the titanium accents on the camera and M logo.

Even though still easy to apply I had my wife do it as I would have ruined it lol

Enjoying the added grip for sure.

My most used feature with Nova, is the swipe stuff. Best being swipe down for notification bar. You just swipe down anywhere on the home screen and that will pull down the notification shade, and do it again and it will pull it all the way down.

Nova Prime is the best $4 I've ever spent :)

Since I finally put Nova on the Nexus 6 I will give your layout scheme a go.

Resistance ended up being futile, I have Nova on every device I own. I paid for Prime so why the heck not. :)

lol. I just wish they had the swipe to the left feature for google now and I would never use another launcher. Using Nova at the moment though with my grey scheme and grey google cards. Makes it less glaring at nighttime use :)

Nova launcher prime is king of launchers imho, as for swipe left for google now, i just set up a gesture for swipe up to open google now cards and works as fast and frees up a home screen

I like the grey on timberwolf theme

Yeah I only became aware of that theme when it was inc in previous chroma build its one of the best layers out there

While not the Mega, the latest large phone I picked up was the HTC Max. Since I like it and I got it on the cheap, I am glad I bought it.

The Samsung g mega was the best phone I owned its only a fraction bigger than the n6 but for a 720p screen it was a stunner. The only phone I ever keptbfor longer than a year.

Is it "bad" for a phone to sit on a wireless charger all day?

I leave the N6 on the new wireless charger when I am at my desk at work and not being used but thought maybe that isnt a good idea.

Love being able to make this phone feel so different.

It will only draw energy as it needs it. It's not bad to leave it on the wireless charger.

Thanks. Really enjoying my first splash into wireless charging. I always thought it was a fad but I really enjoy slapping it down on my work desk or home desk where it sometimes normally sits but why not charge?

Was getting great battery life but now I shouldnt have any concern considering I have 2 of these and in the most frequented spots throughout my days.

I enjoy wireless charging too. I have N6 and S6 both have wireless charging builtin. Its nice to just plop it down for the night and let it charge. Then its easier to take off of the charger too.

Anyone have trouble with their N6 stopping notification for the tapatalk app? I have this issue before with android, but everything seemed fine until today. It has stopped giving me push notifications. Its really making me mad.

I had this phone back in December and while I really liked it, I ended up returning it due to subpar battery life and performance.

I decided to purchase the phone again last week based on the 5.1 reviews stating the battery and performance both improved immensely, and boy were they right. I'm getting battery life comparable to my iPhone 6 Plus now and performance is amazing. The only thing I can knock this phone for is the front camera, which isn't TERRIBLE but just not up to par.

Tapatalk has been acting the maggot for a week or two. Seems to be on their side.

What's making me mad is its working on my iPhone. I am getting on the push notification on my iPad and 6+. It did this before, and I could not get push notifications to work again. I wish there was another app to use.

So the past few days I've only been getting a little over 3 hrs of battery life for SOT. Stark contrast to the close to 6 hrs I got when I first got the phone. I've noticed that my cell standby percentage has increased. Also I haven't been able to get LTE to stick. Is that the issue?

I think the cell standby might be a Android 5. issue. I have seen it on my S6 and N6.
