They might just be from the midwest, we basically end everything with the inflection of a question? Is that a question or a statement?

Yup. I found that pretty ironic. That's a verbatim copy-paste from Apple's release notes.beta 6 / beta 7...? So which is it? And is this the fix to the issues? If so I guess us Catalina peeps are screwed. ?♂️
Sheza, be the hero. Test that Beta for all of us!I could do it.... this Mac goes back to Apple next week when my non-damaged replacement one arrives.... but I kinda don’t wanna spoil the Big Sur reveal until full release
Yes!Oh, go on then — I'll be the sacrificial lamb! Signing up for the beta program now...
Pleeeeeeeaaaaasssseeeee ? We would all be so grateful. It will tell us a lot. Including if Catalina is just going to be left in the dust at this point.I could do it.... this Mac goes back to Apple next week when my non-damaged replacement one arrives.... but I kinda don’t wanna spoil the Big Sur reveal until full release
Will any display do ? I have an old vga monitor that I could connect ( I have an adaptor)So when a secondary display is connected all these issues go away?
I have no idea. I was asking people who’ve tested this. I haven’t tried yet because I’d have to order a second display. I am looking for feedback here. Will any display do ? I have an old vga monitor that I could connect ( I have an adaptor)
We do of course have this option to see if Big Sur improves things: https://9to5mac.com/2020/07/15/how-to-install-macos-big-sur-beta-separate-apfs-volume-video/

In my mind, if you go 2 days without seeing it -- problem fixed! The problem with this is that I'm going to need to use it for at least a couple of days to see if the glitch still exists. Sometimes I've gone almost the whole day without seeing it...

Hmm. How's the install going for you? Been staring at a black screen with the Apple logo for many minutes now. No progress bar or anything else. The problem with this is that I'm going to need to use it for at least a couple of days to see if the glitch still exists. Yeah, going to wait. But, I have a feeling this isn't compatible. Maybe that note in their release notes for beta 6 was really meant for beta 7 like it says? The main macOS beta page is still saying it's not compatible with this iMac. But, that could obviously be a relic since it looks like that page has been the same for a while.Exactly the same for me. Stuck here for about 20-30 mins and no progress yet. I’m guessing it’s frozen, but going to leave another half an hour and see...
Where’s the minds at Apple right now? Certainly not on details and QC. Maybe the stock market? ?Yeah, going to wait. But, I have a feeling this isn't compatible. The way you find out if it's compatible, according to Apple, is if the installation proceeds normally. If it doesn't, then, well, it's not. I saw that language somewhere before installation. It is a beta after all.I assume it wouldn't let you install if it wasn't compatible?
