Kind of like the machine was listening and said, “Oh yeah I’ll show you”! ?And just like that, I saw the line higher up on the screen.
I don’t think it is out yet. This was mentioned yesterday. It doesn’t look very promising either since there is no mention of graphical fixes.
I’ve had it happen at different levels on my screen. I’ll be using it a fair amount today. Shall see if there appears to be any pattern to it or not. Probably wishful thinking on my part. When I see the while lines it always seems to be the same distance up from the bottom of the screen, it just happens on either the left or right side of the screen. I haven't seen the line appear higher or lower when it does appear.
It happened higher up on the screen right after my post you quoted.I’ve had it happen at different levels on my screen. I’ll be using it a fair amount today. Shall see if there appears to be any pattern to it or not. Probably wishful thinking on my part.
I didn’t do it, I promise! It happened higher up on the screen right after my post you quoted.
The update was pulled last minute.I don’t think it is out yet. This was mentioned yesterday. It doesn’t look very promising either since there is no mention of graphical fixes.
Hopefully to fix all the 5700 issues! The update was pulled last minute.
Don't put words in my mouth like, "stupid". No, I won't lie to make you feel better and say "most", when the fact is it is "all". There are no exceptions with the 5700 XT. I am not stating this based on my 'opinion' or even from my own experience with two machines. I am stating this based on information that has been provided to me internally from Apple. It didn't come from a call center employee either. Have a nice day and enjoy the machine you aren't seeing the glitches on.I am on week three with no signs of these whites lines as of yet. Using with default settings, external monitor for about a week and disconnected the other two. Switched to dark mode to make it obvious if it happened and it hasn't.
And no auralux, I'm not too stupid to see it, tolerant of defects, or giving Apple a pass. I simply have a copy that as of yet does not have any flashing lines. While you are the self appointed authority on this issue, I might suggest that that you state "most" rather than "all" systems are experiencing this anomaly. After all, you really don't know.
However, I am beginning to think Windows might be a better route. Apple computers are getting too far from what I used to rely on.
AuraLux, you have a contact within Apple that has confirmed that the White Line of Doom is happening on ALL 5700XT iMacs? I too think it's probably happening on all, but i don't have an internal source at Apple.Don't put words in my mouth like, "stupid". The issue isn't only occurring on the iMac either. There are issues with the 5700 on the 7,1 MP as well.AuraLux, you have a contact within Apple that has confirmed that the White Line of Doom is happening on ALL 5700XT iMacs? Wrong email address.
Yes, it's the correct address. The one you gave bounces back as unknown (driccio@apple.com). I communicated with Tim Cook when he came out a few years back. He also uses his iCloud account.Wrong email address.
Try simply riccio@apple.comYes, it's the correct address. The one you gave bounces back as unknown (driccio@apple.com). I communicated with Tim Cook when he came out a few years back. He also emailed me from his iCloud account.
Thank you for testing it and letting us know. That sucks!Glitch still happens with the beta supplemental update that appeared yesterday on the ADC site.
I couldn’t agree more. It’s all political BS.What this has shown me is that none of the prominent Youtubers care about the actual products they promote. Either that or they are terrified of biting the hand that feeds them. People like Yuryev, Brownlee, Ritchie, and others hype new products to promote themselves and their channels, but never seem to circle back about problems out of fear of upsetting the almighty Apple.
You assume too much. I would never accuse any of them with possessing in-depth product knowledge — or caring that they don't have it.What this has shown me is that none of the prominent Youtubers care about the actual products they promote.
