I wouldn't use me as a good example though. Apple Australia has always been the poor cousin. I'm thinking that they have probably had so many orders from the US (and everywhere else that has priority over us) that they simply haven't got around to changing a production line to fulfill a relatively smaller amount of orders to our local specs...

Please, anyone else from Australia tell me I'm wrong and that you have received your order!....

My 24" iMac has been "Prepared for Shipment" for 24 hours now. I know it's coming from China, so I'm just hoping it is being sent out as I speak and the Apple store has a little bit of a delay. We'll see.

This is my very first Mac and I cannot wait to get it but I am sure that some others like me (new to Macs) may well think about cancelling their orders due to the rediculous delays in getting their systems. The longer you have the wait - the more time their is to doubt your decision!

I am being delivered in France, and the TNT tracking now shows the iMac is out for delivery. The place they are delivering from is only 40km from my house, so pretty sure it will arrive today...

Mine too - still in China!

This is my very first Mac and I cannot wait to get it but I am sure that some others like me (new to Macs) may well think about cancelling their orders due to the rediculous delays in getting their systems. The longer you have the wait - the more time their is to doubt your decision!

Problem is that you can't cancel your order now its left. You can return the iMac FOC after you receive it and get a refund once Apple get it back and check it, but in the meantime you'll have to shell out for another Mac if you can find one locally.

Hey, mine just left Shanghai last night! But this is the first time I've never seen a delivery time from Fedex...

carollf is yours being delivered by TNT? If so use the delivery no. to check on tnt's website.. I found it was updated quicker.

Mine has just updated to say that too, but it doesn't have any note of the shipment landing yet, so I have no idea where it is or when I should expect delivery. Problem is that until its been scanned in by Fedex/UPS in Europe, you don't get a proper consignment number so you can't track it. At least that I've found anyway.

Last time I ordered from Apple, this site was fairly up to date, but there was a bit of a time lag near the end, where I suddenly found out that it was due to be delivered that day while I thought it was still in Holland. I think the database updates seem to be all over the place at the moment.

I hope like yours, mine will ship two days later...which would be today...wouldn't that be great? I think it would be great.

I guess the orders are coming in so fast that the ship date is taking longer for a lot of people only one week later after launch?

I know that if I got the wireless keyboard it would of been 4 - 6 weeks --

I did get the the 24 inch with 2.8 and wireless mouse though and no delay with that

Well I finally have good news! I ordered the same day as you but was quoted shipment by yesterday. The only difference between our orders is the upgraded processor. I also had memory shipped from the US within a couple of days, now waiting to be installed...

My order went to Prepared for Shipping late this afternoon and then I received an email at 7.15pm saying it had been shipped. It was already at the TNT Mascot depot in Sydney at 7.29pm.

Unlike everyone else here, I wasn't advised of its shipping from China - only when it was collected by TNT from customs in Sydney.

Being in country Victoria though, I'm not confident it will reach me by tomorrow for the weekend but I can only hope!

wow. so my iMac came this morning at 8:30am, making it a full 24 hours earlier than expected. it just arrived in anchorage, ak yesterday so how it managed to make it to my door in madison, wi by this morning is beyond me!

My shiny new 2.4 20" arrived yesterday.

Haven't had a lot of time to use it yet but from what i've done so far it's very fast. It is also CRAZY thin. Having owned an iMac before I still had to look twice in disbelief that it's all there.

Oh by the way, ordered on the 13th, it is now the 16th. No new information as to if it shipped earlier or not. I guess it may ship on the 20th-22nd when it says on the Apple website...
